Mama has been looking for a way to use this graphic she created in PicMonkey while following a tutorial.
Monday Morning, she found the story about Magic!
Early Dawn Thirty Magic Tale
Mama let me into the backyard at 6:15 and I went about my 'business' while she stood listening to the bird song, the sound of the earth changing from dark of night to light,
Remembering that Diane the bird watcher told her to make like you are a tree if you want to SEE the birds, she froze in place to look and listen.
She heard wings, saw the flutter and POUF like magic, a small, half grown screech owl sat in the pine tree right over my head. I was busy so did not see it.
She told daddy later that the owl parents were in the oak tree that almost got cut down by the neighbor, they were talking to the baby, the baby flew towards them,
they all 3 flew back to the pine tree, the baby following.
Mama said the scene was worthy of a Disney Magical Movie.
Alas, it was to dark for photo, she had no camera, butt she did have this in her 2018 archives.
of one of the parents
We hear them all the time, they hunt in the dark while we are sleeping.
Mama wonders if the other birds that were singing hello to dawn, did not know the owls were out and about teaching Jr how to hunt Birds.
Hooty is an Eastern Screech Owl, not to be confused by Hoot, the Barred owl.
Hoot is very big, Hooty is tiny.

He is gorgeous! I bet his feathers would be so soft. What an amazing sight you witnessed, something almost no one ever sees. I love you popping out of the flower to say HI to the bee!!
We have owls here, I hear them a lot, but I have never seen any of them.
I do see various raptors here, flying around our area...then we see no other birds for a long while...
We do see other fledglings being fed by the parents, when they can fly but they still want the parents to feed them, LOL!
What a lovely experience! Some years back, we had a family of barn owls living in our attic, but they have not been there recently, which makes us sad.

OH yes, that nature-rising part of the morning is indeed truly magical! I haven't heard our owls yet since I got back to the Hutch - but there was a woodpecker somewhere around yesterday! YAM xx

We're never up that early to hear the birds waking up. How cool that you get to see those owls up close with their baby.
Come dawn, I love listening to the birds calling one another. Something I never considered: Acting like a tree and staying still. You've got the best factoids!
We can't imagine how beautiful a moment that must have been!!
Thank you for the beautiful rosies!!
xoxo,
Rosy
