StoryTime Again

Mama said to tell you, these are 2 of the four photos she took of me while telling me stories.

you can tell I am fascinated when she showed me her photo and said, Beau, I do NOT like this house.

It is a nice house, but that color yellow belongs in a mustard bottle

not on a house.

She said to say She is Sorry, if your house happens to be this color.

She is Sorry she hurt your feelings AND sorry it is this color.

Above is the house she loves and wants. It is 2 streets over from us, has a porch and a tin roof and she has loved it since they built it.

I am looking in her eyes listening to her talk, and the cell phone is over to her right

in her hand and she doesn't look throught the camera, 

but talks to me and just keeps tapping on phone without shoving it in my face

Ball Brain Beau Beaumont

 

Ball on the sofa with me,

Ball with me under a tree.

3 Balls around me,

or in a line of three.

All I want in my Ball Brain is to have my balls with ME.

I heard mama say something about a Ball Fetish, I looked that word up and it said...

An inanimate object worshiped for its supposed magical powers.

Sounds good to me, as long as it is MINE and not OURS...

I love owning all the Orange Things in our house.

I heard Mama tell Daddy that if we had a pool stick, we could play a game of POOL.

That makes no sense, because they get in the POOL in the back yard and play, so why do they need a stick...

BEAUtiful Walk Harness part 1

 

Above heading out for BEAUtiful walk on Friday morning, below the  pole in the background is the turnaround and go back home, Beau wanted to go the other way, but a simple no and he turned and walked home . next time you see him walk he will have on a new harness that fits.

Look at the sad look on his face, cant we keep going and going?

Notice that red harness? it is 2 inches to small, it came with him, More about that later.

Today Mama wants to Talk.. Go ahead, Mama..

For the first time EVER, on Canine #6 in 35 years,  we have a dog who will Pose For the Camera. 

Note the ears are not back. He stands in one Place.

Beau gives a paw when asked.

Beau shadow walks, when I say come walk with me, as in puts his shoulder on my left knee and walks every step I take.

When we walk each morning, if we stop for him to meet a new neighbor, he sits and then waits until I say OK and then we go.

Today he met the next door lady, and went through all his commands for her and got lots of hugs and kisses. and of course his new Freed Dried Liver treats. Pupford Brand. YUM.

He fetches a ball or a stick.

And when the word NO is said, he Immediately Stops what ever he is doing.

OF COURSE HE IS NOT PERFECT..

Flaw # 1, he will eat his own poop if not watched. We had Jake who ate his sisters poop, but not his own. Both dogs had been abused in their younger lives and we think they learned it from starving.

Flaw # 2, Is Mama has to follow him around appearing to NOT BE WATCHING, so she can pick it up immediately. (he wants to do his pooing in private)

Flaw # 3 is he poops as much as a buffalo.

Flaw #4 is he always gets behind bushes or trees that make me have to climb behind them to pick it up.

Now that I have read what I wrote, I guess this should all go under Flaw #1 part 2

so far this is the only thing he does wrong.

Some things just can't be listed under thankful. ha ha

This is about a 50 foot runway, hard to get the ball between the trees, but we do it... Good for us and Good for Beau to be out in nature exercising. So far he doesn't bother the avocados that fall from that big tree.  Here is what we do outside....

Well, almost Wordless.. we were on the sofa talking, he turned upside down and just laid there. Just like you see, for maybe 2 minutes, we laughed so hard, then had to go and pet him.

Beau Day Two

Thank you to all of you who sent cards via snail mail, and through email and messenger. your support kept my Mama going until she found me

The card above made Mama cry, it came for Big Boy' Vet office the day she brought me home,

I am helping heal Mama and Daddy's hearts.

Each hug and walk, each laugh and Kiss, their hearts are so full of ME it dulls the hurt.

I thought they were crazy when they put my food out Saturday am and I put not one but two orange things in on top of it and

They laughed at the first one, they laughed at the 2nd one.

They laughed when I tried to put my Big face around the balls to eat.

Mama carefully lifted them out and left them right by the bowl,

I looked in her face and ate every bite.

She wants you to know her subconscious was working and she did not know it. She kept bursting into Wild Thing each time she said Orange Thing

This is why and she did not know it. Saturday am she came running down the hall and rewound the Tv and she and daddy laughed and laughed and played it 3 times

I tried to paste the imbed here and it will not work, anyone know how?

His eyes looking at me, is like putting ointment on a cut, the cut is still there but it doesn't hurt as badly.

       

Furst Four Hours with new Pawrentz

 

My first day, I looked this way

I looked that way!

You gotta understand, this was my first four hours in my new home. I was kind of in shock. 

We rode in the car and  I loved that, but Whoa, there is a jungle here.

Mama said on NO not another ears back and hates photographers dog.

I fooled her.

I like having my photo taken as you will see.

The last photo shows how beautiful my shape is and my big paws and white chest.

Orange Thing, You make my heart sing

 

Beau here, I take my Chuckit ball every where I goes. I sleeps with it, I walks with it, I plays with it, I keeps it in my dog bowl. 

Mama here...We started calling it orange thing, because on the slim chance he has laid it down somewhere, and the word Ball is said, that is Play time even if we don't want to.

Beau is not gray Brindle, he is orange/brown brindle, the low light in the living room and a cell does this color..

Mama though about naming the ball, but they are attached to the name orange thing. of course in a few days I will KNOW what they mean and a new name will be chosen

I heard Mama say the word Binkie, because the orange thing is like a pacifier

Day Two Beau's new home

 

Follow me, I found a path, this was my second day and I was settled in and doing the wander thing.

Later on you will learn that the PATH is where she throws my ball or stick to chase, there is a big gree beautiful space in there

Mama says the sun shining through the trees, 

makes her feel just a little week in the knees.

Watching Daddy get ready to go to the YMCA today. I heard mama say, will he be OK home alone? he hasn't even been here 48 hours!

I looked at her and said I will be OK, you go swim Mama.. 

When they came home, I told Mama to let me show those Cats at Brians Home, I can do the 

Paw Point too, with Both Paws

Also I wanted to tell Phod that I have only 3 of the Orange Things, that he calls Precious. I know he has a lot and I think he could share.

I only play with Sticks and Orange things. Ha Ha, Mama doesn't say the word Ball because, well, you know... she doesn't know I know what orange things are.

There is SO MUCH TO SHOW AND TELL, I can't decide where to start.

the Label will be Beau's First Four hours. OOPS I may have taken 72 photo.

the first photo is to show you his face, which is why   I call him my Beautiful Beau, also a BB.

The word Ball is not to be spoken out loud. IF that happens you WILL pay Ball until you drop.

The ball is never away from him, at his home where we got him, there were 6 other dogs and he kept his in his bowl, while he ate, at one time yesterday there were two balls in the bowl.

It goes with him while sleeping, on sofa or floor.

When he lays on Bob;s lap, so does the ball.

He is not sad below, he takes each piece of dog food and daintly chews it. All of our past Angels gobbled and swallowed.

We had a lot of laughing going on watching this giant sized dog, chew like a tiny guy.

Above was this morning, he was snoring like a Harley! I stayed home from the YMCA while Bob went alone, because he has not been here 24 hours yet, and I want him to adjust first.

Below was the 4 PM crash and burn. we got him at noon and until 4 pm he did not stop wandering and sniffing and Playing Ball with us.

We were as exahusted as he was. GOOD NEWS! we heard he was used to sleeping on the humans bed. we said no, only twice and he slept on his dog bed all night.

Meet the new Guy in town

 

I recieved a message, it said, David will give you Beau. My friends David and Lisa run a shelter of there own. The neighbors know if they are about to turn a dog into a shelter, David and Lisa will not say no, They have had Beau for 8 months. He is Sixish... and can you say

BIGGER than Big!

It was a case of INSTANT Love for both Bob and I, we had looked at 7 shelter dogs and could not agree on one.

Today we drove to David and Lisa's home and she brought

Beau (Beaumont) out in the driveway to meet us and 15 minutes later he was in our back seat.

David said as we drove away, be careful, if you are by your self, he will climb in the passenger seat and we put the seat belt on and he loves it.

Halfway home, this somewhere in the 80 to 90 pound dog, stood up on the console and tryed to climb on top of Bob. laughing histericaly, we tried firm NO and he sat down in the position above.

The first thing was out in the backyard he marked every tree and bush saying MINE.

He is Great Dane/Catahoula mix and a gentle giant.

put your seat belts on and prepare for a blast of photos because he loves the camera.
