This is all the fault of those of you who asked about the sign and what it meant on that was on Mama's MadSnapper blog...

she decided to walk down that street to see what was up with the sign. Just as she passed the sign a lady came out her front door with a DOG.

Not much of a dog compared to me. I did not get to see her. this was Mamas 2nd walk and that's another thing, I should have been with her.

Sure her sweater says Yes, I am a BIG Deal!

WE all KNOW

I am the BIG Deal, and I have 88 lbs to prove it.

I heard her tell Daddy she had a great time. 

Something about the two of them having a pandemic meltdown of lack of conversation.

The walked 1 block together and this is what Mama told daddy she learned.

Mercedes is the dog

Betty is the dog mama

Betty's husband died 2 months ago

She is a 4 year survivor of cancer and they told her she had 6 months to live.

She is 76, just like my Mama

She would be lost with out Mercedes and so glad she has her.

Mama told her all about Big Boy and me the BIG Beau.

there was more but she compressed her words.

Mama is thankful she got to talk, and pet that silly LITTLE dog and I am thankful Mama loves BIG dogs BEST!

Before you look at and admire the cat that stole my blog, MY FENCE IS UP. I can run and play!

Story on MONDAY.. with photos.... The Three Men LOVED ME! I got to help them put the fence up. They LOVED me and they said if anything ever happened to call them and they would take me in a minute.... Not sure why that would happen, but Mama seemed happy. We have lots to tell you about the past 3 days....

She took a few steps and there it was. Mama talked to him and snicked the cell at him and he was still there surveying his kingdom when she left.

today is thankful Thursday and mama said to tell you she is thankful Dan sends us pics and that the new boss of Dan and his wife, got fired and their jobs are safe for now.

She said to tell you she is thankful that all of our family loves cats and dogs. A Lot!

Zoe and Allie live with the two talking cats you saw in the saloon a few days ago ON MY BLOG.

Cammo Dogs, Dan says it get crowded with 3 cats and 2 dogs.

Cuter than a puppy

This is Charlie, she was born on Dec 6, 2020, 8 lbs 8 oz. She is my Mama's first cousins 

Great Granddaughter, I think that means she is Mama's 1st cousin 3 times removed.

Whatever it means, she is cuter than a Puppy and Mama insisted I show her to you..

She is 2 days old in these pics.

It looks to me like she is already singing Christmas Carols. Right?

In Memory of Rascal and Melodee

 

Rascal 2010 - Nov 18, 2020 10 years old over the rainbow bridge

None of you will recognize these pups, they are not a part of blogland, but they were and are a part of my life. These two dogs became members of the family at the same time, 10 years ago, they have no memory of life without the others. Siblings from tiny babies.

Back in Oct, I asked for POTP (power of the paws) for Rascal, 3 days after our Big Boy went over the rainbow bridge, Rascal got really sick. He had tumors all over and was swollen so bad he could not breathe. Last week on Nov 18, Rascal went over the rain bow bridge, leaving my friend Jackie and her family and her sister Melodee, to grieve. 

Melodee 2010-Nov 25, 2020 over the rainbow bridge

Melodee quit eating, and a few days ago, they took her to the vet, she had a few tumors and the vet said it might be lymphoma. She was given meds and Thanksgiving eve, Nov 25

Sweet Melodee, their German Shepherd went over the rainbow bridge yesterday.

It was like she gave up when her  brother Rascal left her behind.

 She went into a spiral, refused to eat, could not get up, and 7 days from the day Rascal left her, she went over the rainbow bridge.

Jackie and her family are dear friends and so were these two dogs.

Jackie needs our prayers as she battles cancer and chemo and on Dec 9th, surgery.

From Melodee and Rascal to Jackie, Richard and C.C. 

When tomorrow starts without us, don't think we are far apart.

Grand Ferret? part 2

Yesterdays Post Grand Ferret? Cute Weasel? , you saw Buck, the Ferret and how my son found him in his shed. this is the Rest of The Story

I will use Son, DIL, Lisa. the three involved in many many texts. I recieved this message from my son a few hours after he found the ferret.

Son: We think he's the neighbors,catty corner from us. I stopped there at 3,nobody home. I'm getting ready to walk over there again in a minute. We have an extra cage for him for now. HE IS NOT staying very long!!!!

DIL: Mr Ferret is NOT staying! I hope these people with say it's there's. Daniel is walking over there now, keep fingers crossed.

DIL: NO ONE HOME! keep fingers and toes crossed, he finds the owner.

NEXT day! Wed.

Me:  Did the owners come home? 

DIL: No, no one home.

Me: On no, he sent the night? 

DIL:Yes, they sleep alot, up at dawn and again at dusk for a couple of hours each time. It went well, we kept everyone in bedroom with us last night.

DIL: No he is not staying. Lol

Dan tried several times, once he said someone was home but would not come to the door.

Son: Mom, I called the SPCA and we are taking Buck to them at 3 pm. The Boss has spoken, I can't keep him, he has to go today.

MOM: OH NO! Don't take him, let me ask around and see if any one wants it.

I sent text to Lisa, do you know anyone who wants a ferret?

LISA: YES! we want it, we have one and it needs a playmate.

ME: can you go get it today? it is 50 miles to where they live.

Lisa: YES! we will go today, what time

MOM: Michelle, dont take it to the SPCA, Lisa wants. it

Michelle: We are so HAPPY!!! they can come at 5.

I WILL SPARE you the zillion texts between Lisa, Michelle, Dan and Me. Sharing cell numbers and addresses and setting things up.

I have no grand Ferret!  Butt I may start and Online Pet Adoption, I will call it

Lisa:  your son and his wife are AWESOME! we just left. We will be chillin with them again.

and at the same time, from Dan

Dan: The package is delivered! They just left! Your friends ae so Cool! We are glad Buck has a friend now. THANK YOU MOM! we love you.

ME: What time did they get there. 

Dan: 4:30, we sat in the living room and they LOVED Zoey, and they stayed til 7. We had a blast!

SO MAYBE I SHOULD START A Meet New Friends? TEXT ME!

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW ME WELL, Yes! I freaked out that the four of them sat together in the living room which is tiny and no way to social distance and I KNOW IN MY HEART no one had on a MASK..... 

Grand Ferret? Cute Weasel?

 

 

Mama says I have to share my blog today. This is a ferret! Butt of course you knew that. Mama says I have to grin and ferret!

Heh Heh Heh!

Butt seriously, this IS  a ferret! Mama got these photos and a video from son Dan. It said LOOK MOM! what i found in my shed. I went in and got the gas can to put in my truck and when I came back this was in the shed!

You want him Mom? I'll bring him right over! a few seconds later a second message came. JUST KIDDING!

We have an extra crate, we will put him in there. I think he belongs to the neighbor across the street.

My messenger dings. it's Dan's wife Michelle. it says

HE will NOT be keep Mr. Ferret! ( mama says to remind you they have 2 dogs and 5 cats) heh heh heh

Later in the evening, Michelle says

He is walking accross the street to see if they are home. 

They are not home! He will go later and then 

Nothing until Tuesday mornng.

I sent a message and says can I post these photos as my new

Grand Ferret that lives with Grand dogs and Grand cats?

Message says NO! Mr Ferret is not staying.

We let them all in the bedroom last night, he was in his crate.

Sometimes Life is not ferret all, and sometimes it IS. 

So Now I am trying to decide if we want to make a bet on if I have a Grand Ferret or NOT.
