The sun was shining, the birds were singing,
my leash it was just a swinging.
Da Mama and I were walking down the street,
When suddenly a man we did meet.
He was rolling on wheels, coming very fast.
It looked like he would hit us, and we might not last.
Mama stepped in the grass
to let him pass,
He did not pass, he rolled to a stop,
And off his bike he did hop.
He kicked down the stand
and to me he ran.
he said not a word, but bent and rubbed my ears, he cuddled my face, and kissed me on my nose
and to his feet he then arose.
He jumped on the bike and raced off down the street,
leaving Mama and me standing shocked on our feet.
We were standing and staring as he rode away,
because he never did one single word say.
When we got back home, Mama said to Daddy, odd thing happened today.
We met a stranger who kissed Beau's nose, we have never seen him before, he just kissed and rode away.
All I know is I hope he comes by again and stays long enough to play

A true awwww Monday moment!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
oooh how sweet... that's what we would do too... we would kiss you... but we would talk to you and your mama ...a lot...
Hello Beau,
You are loved by everyone passing and from far away.
HUGS, have a happy day!
That is a very odd thing to do but nice for you that it was a good experience.
First I think I would be a bit scared if a person jumped off their bike and came towards us like that. Second, it doesn't seem very smart on the bikers part. How could he know whether Beau was friendly or not. He could have gotten bit (Of course we know Beau would never do that) but he didn't know that.
How wonderful that Beau got some extra love...we all know he is starved for affection...NOT. But I did have the thought of Ann but I bet cyclist learn to read dogs pretty quick.
Ann just expressed exactly what I was thinking!
It probably happened so fast, da momma didn't have time to whip out her pepper spray?
As long as da momma's not pulling our leg, this is a great illustration how things happen so quickly most folks don't have time to react.
Y'all stay safe out there! xo
It sounds like you sure enjoyed that encounter, Beau, but that man sure was lucky you are such a nice pup. We sure hope he doesn't do that to every dog he sees and ends up with a chunk of his face bitten off. If it happens again, we sure hope your mom can get his name.
Beau what odd behavior from the human. As for you he was lucky you are such a friendly guy and tolerated the invasion of your space
Hugs cecilia
I would have stopped and loved on you too, Beau. I'd also talk it up with your mom.
Have a woof woof day and week My best to your wonderful mom. ♥
Love is all that really matters! Dog know it the best and perhaps invites it and only a few humans, like this person, pick up on it. I wonder what Faith would do if a perfect stranger stopped and kissed her on the now. The person may be lacking a nose of their own after that encouter.
Yes, our Dad would have stopped to give you a nose smoochie too Beau!
This is so strange!! A thought...maybe somehow he is not able to talk?
The best drive by of all!!
Now that is a very interesting tale. It was a rather brave move on his part. I'm glad it turned out okay. I myself would have been a little scared in this day and age.
That was a very odd meeting, but glad it was filled with good things. Misty and Timber would have loved it. But not Lightning, he is totally and utterly terrified of bicycles!!!
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Just like with me, everyone knows you are a sweetie pie. That's why nice things happen, Beau. XOXO Lucy
How heartwarming! ❤️
