Humpty Dumpty Daddy, fell out of the chair,
my ears were burning as he did Swear!
I pulled really hard, I can really tug,
He really should have let go of the jug.
The chair was shattered beyond repair
which caused my mama to swear pull her hair
she dragged the shattered chair and the other chair too
right out to the curb, what else could she do?
Saturday morning, while shopping for the week,
she did the garden shop seek.
There sat the chairs, they were no perfect, but would do.
The problem was in the car they would not fit,
she could not get the back seat down; she was throwing a fit.
She loaded the groceries and when she got home
she said with a groan.
Beau we must walk fast, the chairs will be quickly gone.
I have to go back
Daddy must use the skills that I lack
He threw down the latch and the seat dropped flat.
We walked my walk, really fast
She jumped in the car sighing AT Last.
She parked at the garden shop door, hoping to run in quick,
the shop door was closed, it made her sick.
she walked around and into the store and all the way to the shop
she struggled and struggled but in the basket the chairs drop
She pushed the basket to the self-check yourself out,
The wand was missing, no one was about
She moved to another one, the wand was there,
she checked out faster than air.
She raced with the basket out to the car
she grumbled and mumbled, and pushed really hard
and raced back home, it's not really that far.
She came in from the garage and went out the front door
as daddy said Do you want me to get those for you? She slammed the door, need I say More?
The chairs are the same as the chair found on the street,
The cushions she found fit perfect and neat.
They are not in the pool, but on the deck,
she likes to play in PicMonkey, so what the heck?

Wow, a poem that had me on the edge of my seat as well!! I just love it all! So glad you found replacement chairs that will NOT break cause they are NEW!
Great poem and graphics! I'm so glad you have some new, safe chairs. 😊
Fun to read and happy you have your chairs.
omw Beau. thank goodness Mama has those new chairs.
Wow, epic poetry. Homer beware!
Oh my, that is some story. What an ordeal. There have been things I've thought about buying but I've changed my mind once I think about whether or not I'll be able to get it in the car or get it to the house from the car once I get home.
Hello beau,
I am glad your Daddy was not hurt. I like your Mama's poem and the new chairs look great. HUGS, have a happy day!
Now Beau Daddy can sit in the sunshine and relax as the day goes by without incident!!

What a trip... but every bit worth it!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
I am just glad you were able to find some...but as Ann said what an ordeal!
Cheers to you, too!
I'm sitting, tilting my head like Beau ... lol.
Those new chairs look perfect. And comfy, too!
PS - Imagine the spending $ a 16-year-old with a pick-up truck could make!
We're so glad the chairs were still there when you mom went back to get them. How great that they fit the "new" cushions perfectly.
Well done on the story and poetry too
I like the new, safe chairs
Hugs Cecilia
Good grief!!
Will the drama never end??? HaHa..
I'm glad that Bob is ok and you found matching chairs to go with your "find". Perfect and you have the pretty cushions too.
Sandra...life is never dull in your neck of the woods.
Neither Dave or I slept well last night.. we are both as the commercial says,...Cranky-pated...
Hard to get moving today! Thanks for giving me my morning smile.

You had my heart racing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was quite the tail tale Beau, you can go ahead and be the Chairman!
I'm glad dad is okay after that chair collapsed. What a job getting new chairs. I'm glad all is well again.
Have a fabulous day. Scritches to Beau. ♥
Determination defines your Mom, Beau. Kudos to her for being so persistent AND succeeding.

Very nice chairs, I'm glad all the speedy action worked and your mama was able to get them. Now what happened to your dad? I must go and find out.
Great poem! Your Mom is pretty good at the rhyming stuff!
And those chairs look like the ones we have here! We have those that we sit on the deck at the table and we have some zero gravity chairs that we sit in to watch the river go by (yes Kozmo, Me and Jo Jo too). Mom LIKES the deck chairs like yours) the best!
You have one very determined and self-sufficient Mama. Our Mom is much the same way, so she understands the frustrations when she finds herself unable to do something. We're all glad the story ended happily and you've got two pretty (and hopefully sturdy) pool chairs! XOX Xena, Lucy, Chia and Riley
