this is an old photo. We were at Bray Park because it was Sunday. We did NOT get to go to Bray Park, because Debbie the Tropical Storm came to visit and brough RAIN, by 16 total images, 12 in one day, 4 small tornados, each less than 10 miles from our house and
Vertigo trumps Tornados. Mama felt like she was in a tornado |
Monday, I did not get to walk because Debbie was STILL here and Tuesday I did NOT get to walk with Mama because every time she tried to walk VERTIGO, the kind that makes the room swirl, well made the room swirl. She took her vertigo pill; it did not work. Daddy said I WILL WALK BEAU.
We got not even a block away from home and a SQUALL came. Mama said, you know he just said, rains are going to come all day on Tuesday, sun, squall, sun squall. Well, I did want to squall because by the time we got back home, mama was mad as a WET hen. You see when the storm hit, she drove with VERTIGO to pick us up out of the rain and to see is Daddy who is prone to fall over was down and were both drowning. She stopped and he refused to get in the car. By the time we got home, my harness, my dad and I looked like we had swum the river to get here.
The dizzy person had to dry the wet dog, find towel for the dad and all I have to say
is, we are all thankful there was no lightning and thankful no car hit us because Mama said she could not see to drive through the rain. We are thankful she did not crash; we are thankful we had a house to come back to and drive off in.
How is that for a Thankful Thursday Story that happened on Tuesday
Our county is under water, and there is much damage, but all we have is a litter filled yard

Oh my GOSH! Well, all's well that ends well. We both have vertigo, Phil every time he leans back. What is your pill? Mine usually do not work. They are Meclazine. We are getting Debbie tomorrow thru Friday eve, chance of tornados and 8 inches of rain. We have the National Guard in and a state of emergency declared. Even before it has hit!
oh what a sad adventure... we hope all the best for you and your neighbors, the pets and the wildlife... and hugs to you all.... big hugs..
Oh dear Beau, your poor Mama and Daddy, we are so grateful that you all came through this misadventure all in one piece.
Sending hugs from across the Pond (where the weather is quieter, for now).

Struth, I'm thankful you were able to tell the tale. I don't want to be reading about any drownings or lightning strikes!!! Hugs and wags YAM-aunty xxx
Oh no, the vertigo would be bad enough but to have to go out and drive in it and then to have your dad refuse to get in the car. YIKES. I would have been mad too.
I'm so glad to hear that the worst you have is litter in your back yard.
Thankful all of you came through it okay, in spite of all the struggles ... these
hurry-canes (and all the other stuff) keep getting worse-and-worser, hope you are not in for too many more this season.
I'm sure glad you all are okay Beau, everything will dry up soon. Thanks for joining Angel Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Oh my Beau, what a scary story. I hope your Mama and Daddy are both recovered from this weather event and walk. HUGS, take carre! Wishing you all a happy day!
Sorry to hear your mom isn't feeling well and you and your dad got soaked. We're thankful too that you survived Debbie without too many problems.
I’m so sorry your mom had to come to the rescue. That was scary and dangerous. I’m glad you are all okay.
We hope your people feel better soon and we hope no more big storms come soon. Debby is expected to visit here tomorrow - with up to 4 inches of rain in one day expected. Lee and Phod
You know how much your momma loves you, dear Beau? She risked life and limb to come out in the storm to make sure you and daddy were okay. That vertigo is scary business!
Thankful Thursday (and Friday, Saturday, Sunday ... the rest)!
We are sooooo thankful you all got back safe and sound!!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
