National Animal Disaster Preparedness Day

I can  lay in the sun watching the street without worry because My Mom Is the Be Prepared Queen.
We have a plan for ME and my safety.
She has a Go Bag in the Kia, with food and water and poop bags,
Leashes by each door and the window in the bedroom
She and her friend Jackie have a plan in place to protect Me and Dolly if something happens to our parents. They carry a card in their wallet with phone numbers of the people to call if my parents are unable to talk.
A sign by the front door for first responders that I am in the house.

We are sorry we missed April 30th which was Adopt a Shelter pet Day. In our house every day is Adopt a shelter pet.  We watched this movie this past week, a story of a shelter pet who saves lives.
The three angel dogs you saw here yesterday were all rescue dogs, as were all 6 of our dogs.

the trailer below is the movie we watched on Netlfix, Friday night, about a famous rescue dog named Ruby. Worth the watch.
Adopt Cats, they are worth it, Adopt Dogs, they are worth it. You can even adopt pigs, hamsters and rabbits at the shelters.

This movie, Rescued by Ruby, is based on a true story. Click HERE to watch trailer on Youtube

We would NEVER buy an animal at any kind of pet store, or even a breeder. It is only rescue!!

Your Mom sounds like the Queen of Preparedness indeed!

Sadly, we don't have Netflix, so we won't be able to watch that movie at this time.

Woofs,
Ollie

You're a lucky dog to have a mom who is so prepared.
I watched the video for that movie. It looks good but I don't have netflix.

Help me to remember to watch that movie...sounds like a good one. Of course your mama takes better care of you than some parents take care of their kids.

You are lucky to have a mom that is so prepared for any disaster, Beau. That looks like a great movie...too bad we don't have Netflix.

We have a neighbor that looks down her nose at rescues. We always have rescues because they need us the most.

Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to handsome Beau. ♥

I am soo sorry I missed the Angel Pups post yesterday.

Just precious.
Living on the coast of somewhere gorgeous you have to be prepared for hurry-canes Heck sometimes living 150 miles from the coast we've had several hurry-canes reach us.

We also have go bags in the car and in the house...We are glad we don't live in the land of earthquakes and tsunamis anymore, but we always want to be ready for anything!

Your mama is impressive, and her love for you knows no bounds. Thanks for the trailer for the Netflix movie. I'm going to watch it tonight.

The lead in that show is Chia's favorite person, "The Flash." She strives to be like him and run as fast as she can! (Which is pretty darn fast!) Thanks for sharing...it looks like a great story.

Great advice, Beau! I've 'in case of' cards in our wallets and windows, but no other measures. There's no excuse, and I'm putting that on this week's 'to do' list. Gosh knows, all those complimentary canvas bags aren't doing a lot of good just hanging in the closet.

Thanks for the tip about Ruby!
