Monday, May 22, 2023, or sweet Mama Mottled Duck went over the rainbow bridge.
We saw them when we left the house and talked to them, you know, Mama Baby Talk.
20 minutes later we came home to find her smashed on the road in front of our driveway.
Mama cried, Daddy did not but he wanted to.
You know us Males can't cry in public.
To the Driver of the speeding car that did not pay attention to Duck Crossing signs, Mama hopes you have 4 flat tires on your car somewhere far away from AAA roadside assistance and withou your cell phone..
that should slow you down.
Mama asked Edge Image Creator to make AI Images to honor our sweet girl.
Mama Quackers have colored bills, Daddy Quacker has a yellow bill.

I'm so sorry. First the tree, then the poor duck. That's heartbreaking.

we cry too for misses quack... why people are such a-hats? is is worse enough when an animal dies that way, but every duck, cat, dog, etc. could be a child too... :o(
That's so sad to hear about Mama Quacker going to the Bridge. We would have cried too.
We were so sad to read about Mama Duck. Why don't people pay attention? We hope everything you wished for and much, much worse, happen to the driver of that car.

Heartbreaking!!!
I wasn't speeding the other evening, but killed a squirrel that ran out in front of my car at the last minute. Cried all the way to evening church services.
Did you hear on the news where that man who was helping baby ducks get across the street safely was hit and killed.
That was heartbreaking - I am so sorry!
Oh no sweet Mama and her family just going about their business. I hope the ducklings will be ok w/o her.

Some humans really are awful...who drives through a neighborhood at a speed where they can't see a poor feathered friend.
