VET Visit

Mama added us to scale at this photo of the vet office and since we were too tiny to see,
she added Jack the Giant Killer Giant mama and me, the dog.
She did this to prove this is MY blog.
We had an emergency! Mama said I will take Beau to the vet!
Daddy was bleeding all over the sofa and floor and was really Upset!
The vet office said I could come tomorrow at 8,
the vet techs agreed that would be great.

One pretty girl sat on the floor to trim my nails
One held my head, the other took care of the nail details.
She said Beau is so good, we love him,
I can't believe you could not his nails trim.
Mama replied, it is our age not him
that stops us from sitting on the floor, his nails to trim.

Mama Here: You can see the long claws and the newly trimmed below.
The long nails are kept dull by walking on the street, but he dew claws get really sharp like a hook.
When he lays on bob, the rips his arm or leg.
It is only a 4 minute ride and 15.00 to let them sit on the floor.
We are thankful we live close to the vet and that the vet techs LOVE ME, but then who doesn't?
How could they NOT?

Oh gosh, so how much damage did Bob have? He usually tries to downplay anything like this, so I think he may not care. did you put band-aids on him?

I hope your dad is all right, and I'm not surprised that everyone loves you, Beau!

Goodness Beau - oldie humans rip open easily. You have to go easy on them you know. My huMum trims my nails now whenever she does her own. No squirming is permitted, so I have learned to just put up with it. She says that it's because I 'pat' her on the face in the mornings, and my aging toes don't retract my claws properly any more. I'll give her aging. I know who is really old around here. "Get up and at 'em woman!" Paw smacks Mr T

Oh Beau, you had Gail and me alarmed when we heard 'vet visit', although also confused when it you told us it was your Daddy who was bleeding. Anyway, we're glad this little crisis has been resolved!

Hello Beau,
You had me worried when I read you had to go to the vet. It is good you were able to go and get your nails trimmed. I hope your Daddy is not hurt badly.
HUGS, have a happy day!

I was worried for a minute when I read vet visit. That's good that it's close and inexpensive for them to trim your nails. Sorry to hear about your dad though.

Exactly. How could they not. It is amazing they dont pay your mama for having the privilege to take care of you.

I'm glad you got the nails all trimmed up Beau and of course they love you there!!!

You scared us at first, Beau! We are glad, sort of, that it was just a pawdicure emergency!

That's a good price for a nail trim. Our pawrents pay much more for ours. You are such a good patient, Beau.

P.S. Sorry to hear you made your daddy bleed though.

We had to take Disco in too - but he was not nice to them - he had to be muzzled. Beau is such a good boy.

Oh know I hope Daddy's scratches are healing.
I can understand how hard it would be to cut you nails you are a big Guy. It took both of us to trim Angel Madi's (9 lbs). She was good about it but was not one to be held too long so Bryan held her like a baby while I trimmed at record speed.

Jakey gets his nails trimmed at the Vet too. The girls groomer does theirs!!

Sorry dad is bleeding all over the place. We had our groomer do the nail trimming on our Angel Little Bit. Much safer indeed.

Have a fabulous day, Sandra. Scritches to Beau. ♥

Our girls' paws are, of course, lots smaller -- but just as destructive to their daddy's skin. Thank goodness, the groomer includes nail care every 5-6 weeks. I sure wouldn't have the nerve to tackle ityself.

"It myself" I mean.

Beau! You do to your Peeps, what us cats (and sometimes Cinnie) do to our Mom. Alas, nail trims for Cinnie are WAY MORE expensive at the vet (would you believe $45 Canadian which is like elebenty billion dollars er US $34 us). We feel your pain. Thnx for visiting us and we hope you and your peeps have a marvellous (and blood free) week!

Whew, we are glad it was just a nail trim... And that nothing scarier was wrong with your Daddy other than your too-long-nails! Happy weekend!

Yes, definitely worth going to the vet! I would bleed too and Gracie has done that to me a few time.

Oh yes, those dew claws are serious weapons!!! We always have our nails trimmed at the vets, either by the vet when they are really long, or with the groomer when we have a spa day. Hope Bob is OK.
