Hello, my name is Beau and I

Beau is in time out today; Mama is in control of the blog today.  At 5 pm potty break, Beau scooped something up, I yelled No Beau, drop it. As I screamed NOOOOO he swallowed.

Fast forward to 1:59 AM, I hear pacing feet on the hall tile, my eyes pop open, I run to the bathroom, I'm coming I yell, just before I stood up, I heard the Sounds of THROW UP, pretty wet and gaggy, quite awful sounds.

Rushing in the living room he has his head down ABOUT TO EAT What he threw up.

not one but TWO avocados, both the size of a golf ball. With flashlight in hand, I find squirrel teeth marks on one and the other is rotten, as in black/green ROT.   I took him out. Not really TOOK HIM OUT, but outside.... where I had to stand and watch him Eat Grass to settle his tummy.

We are thankful today the cherries are all done blooming, and there are only a few avocado left on the tree. Of course Bob who is deaf without hearing aids knew none of this until morning. Yes, the green stain is still there, at least he chose a spot UP Against the wall, not in the middle of the room.

There is nothing else on MadSnapper today, if you would like to see how we got this despicable tree that causes me all kinds of problems.. Read this Blast from the Past HERE. or go your merry way and enjoy only one blog to read.

there are photos of the rotted seed which is what grows the tree and could have been growing in side Beaus tummy. the post is from 2009, Bob planted the tree in 2001. He simply took a seed and stuck it in the ground by the AC water drip and here we are.

Beau, however tempting, it sounds like you really should stay away from avocados!

You must live in a prime avocado growing climate. We suspect that if #1 tried to do what you did, nothing would happen.

Feel better, budy!

Woofs,
Ollie

Aww. poor Beau. You should have listened to your mom and not eaten those nasty avocados. Will you do it again given the chance? I bet you will.
Why is it that if a dog is given the chance to throw up on a hard floor or a rug/carpet he always chooses the rug?

Hello Beau,
I am sorry you had an upset tummy. It is not good to eat anything found outdoor, only your doggie food. HUGS, have a happy day!

Well, Beau boy, I'd like to think you will have learned a lesson from this... but frankly, I am not hopeful. I mean, humans who throw up from -say - alcohol, keep going back to the stuff. Sigh... poor mum. I hope you are both taking time out today, you to reflect, she to recover! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

We're sorry to hear you have an upset tummy, Beau. Please leave the avocados on the ground so your mom can pick them up and get rid of them.

Poor Beau. Pups just eat stuff and then pay for it.

Have a woof woof day, Beau. My best to your mom. ♥

Rur-roh! Yep, there's nothing to beat the sound of a fur-baby fixing to throw up. I'm just glad you didn't try digesting it and become really sick.

Maybe momma can put your basket of toys on top of the stain? Alternatively, I reach for the bottle of Dollar Tree's 'Totally Awesome.' (It really is!)

Rur-roh! Yep, there's nothing quite like the sound of a furbaby fixing to throw up. At least you didn't try digesting them and become really, really sick.

Two words to da momma: Totally Awesome. (from Dollar Tree) Another blogger tipped me about it and it's the best I've found at removing/reducing stains.

Poor S and Poor Beau

...I know that waking up out of a sound sleep feeling well. With me, it's trying to catch a Senior Dog and get him outside before going potty in the house. I know whenever Jakey gets out of bed in the middle of the night, that's what he's up to.

Hope he stays clear of the Avocados!

Poor baby. I wish he would understand not to eat those - but I don't think they reason like that. :( I hope he feels better....

Thank goodness you got rid of that, Beau. Too bad you didn't choose a better place to do it. Please listen to your Mama when you go out, OK? XOX Xena, Lucy and maybe Chia
