Singing In the Rain.

Sunday, 6:40 am, forecast, very light scattered showers
sun was up, without checking radar, Mama thought we had hours.
Exactly 12 minutes into our AM exercise,
we both got a really big surprise!
They sky opened, the bucket dumped over,
Soaking da mama and her Beau Rover.
We turned towards home, walking faster and faster,
It felt like a spray washer was set on blaster.
We stepped in the door
dripping all over the floor.
Dad looked away from the TV and said is it raining?
Mama had a look on her face like paining.
She dried me off first and then herself,
My harness was soaked, her wet hair made her look like an elf.
Her glasses were sprinkled,
her clothes all wet and wrinkled.
As soon as we were both dried
She turned and sighed.
It seems Big Paws, make really big prints.
the thing is, before we went, they had cleaned the floors, all of which makes perfect sense.
Murphy's law always kicks in,
Each time they clean, it rains and I bring it in,

The photo above was taken outside on the deck,
it shows the size of my paws, what the heck.
She said use your imagination and change deck to floor,
and add more pawprints, until there is lots more.
It seems my prints are almost inches to 3
so what can they do, cause they love ME.

Gosh, this sounds like an episode of 'I Love Lucy'!
I 💛 that Momma Elf made sure you were dried first before worrying about herself. (Mommas are like that, ya they are.)

I enjoyed reading your prose and cool effects on the photos. Sorry you got caught in such a torrential downpour. You are a good boy but I understand mama's work is never done with those big paws, but am alsosure it is all a labor of love :) You are such a lucky boy!

Oh my goodness me you and mom got soaked.
We have rain predicted A G A I N. Thus far all predictions have fizzled.
I'm hoping today is for real.

That's true about Murphy's Law!!! Sorry about the showers you had to walk through. For some reason it sounds refreshing to me. Probably because it wasn't me in them.

Love this post, but the best part of it all is dad asking if it is raining. Well duh. I laughed out loud.

You do have big paws. It's a good thing, Beau.

Have a fabulous day. My best to your peeps. ♥

Our human sister and family are in Florida this week, and it looks like they might have had some rain too. We like walking in the rain; Mom tolerates it for our sake, but only if it isn't also cold.

I am sorry you both were soaked to the bone. I am glad you both were inside and safe from all that soaking rain! Take care and be safe.

Hmmm, I hadn't made the correlation between mopping the floor and it raining afterward until now. But you're right! I hadn't even vacuumed for 2 weeks, and it had been that long since it had rained, too. then yesterday I vacuumed and mopped and the sky opened up!
Wow, who needs a rain dance? Just mop the floor!
