Sunday Sept 22, 2024 Vist Bray Park

the most thankful for Sunday Park Walk was the lady who came out of the rest room you see above left. She walked straight towards me with a big grin on her face, she was tiny and weighed less than me. She bent over an hugged my head, then she hugged my body, then she talked to me and kissed my face and scratched my ears. She and Mama yammered on and on while I had the best hugs I ever got from a stranger. She told Mama she came down from NY and could not move her bulldog with her because he was to old to survived the trip. Mama told her about the shelter that has so many older dogs that need adoptive parents, she said she would look on line.  twice she started to go to her car and came back for more hugs.. We THINK she might have been a dog lover...

2nd Thankful was from our early morning walk Saturday. We saw a 3 month old black lab puppy trotting beside his daddy, coming our way. we saw him twice in the last 4 weeks. Mama said to the man he sure is growing fast, and he is really walking so much better. You see the first time we saw him he looked like a ball with a leash and was bouncing up and down and pulling and well, acting like Da Phenny. ha ha

This time he was a good dog like me. the man said he is perfect on leash but the  minute the leash comes off he goes crazy!  More yammering between Mama and the Man. He said you have a very handsome old dog, I love his face... Then he said my 14 year old dog died a month ago. He was a street dog, we got him from the streets and he looked so much like your dog. Can i show you his picture?

He picked up the puppy and walked close and touched my nose and I nosed the puppy nose and Mama said I don't believe it when he held up his phone because for some reason the man had a photo of ME in his phone and I was sleeping on a sofa but it was not my sofa.

Mama here, that dog he found in the street was almost identical to Beau. The face markings exactly the same. We are thankful he saves rescue dogs and we got to meet the new puppy. He got a lab puppy because he moved across the street from his grandchildren and wanted one for them.

It is so nice to know that there are still some really good people out there. We are deeply worried about what next week will hold for all of you.

Hello Beau,

You are such a good and beautiful dog, everyone wants to hug you! The puppy story is cute. I am sure the man missing his dog and a puppy helps with the loss. HUGS, have a happy day!

We always think good finds good, be it new friends or old, owners for companions in need. It sounds like you had a great week.

It sounds like you had a wonderful walk sweet Beau. I don't think that lady is a dog person though. A really dog person wouldn't leave their elder family member behind. I think that's pretty evil.

How nice to come across such friendly people. It's amazing that the lab owner had a pup that could be your twin, Beau.

What wonderful encounters. There are so many ways in which dogs bring love into people's lives.

This is such a sweet story. How interesting about the photo he had. I want a dog so badly yet Mark isn't agreeing with me. We had a yellow lab years ago. She had 12 puppies and we kept one. Then we had 3 dogs because we had our West Highland Terrier too. I know my days would be better with a dog.

Gosh Beau, it sounds like you won the Bray Park lottery ... at least, Mr. Congeniality. I so hope that lady from NY followed momma's advice and visited the shelter. I love how that man still carries his pup's photograph.

What wonderful people Mama meets, and what an adventure your walks are for both of you, her just as much as you! I feel so sorry for that old lady, and it is so good that Mama helped her. I hope she goes to that shelter. Mama really did her good deed of the day.
