Kahu #2

Continued from Prior Post, Kahu, The Hawaiian word "kahu" is used to refer to someone who has a pet, rather than the term "pet owner." This word has a deep spiritual meaning, as it implies that the person and their pet are connected on a spiritual level. " Kahu" can be translated as "guardian" or "protector." Mr T would tell you they were clearly drawn by a dog person. F could tell you lots of examples of cats of her acquaintance who knew that the presence of burglars needed to be pointed out to the humans, could direct humans to a scene of distress, and that humans need to be rewarded with enthusiasm and encouragement to keep them on track.

Hehe, good for a laugh... though, like TM, and having owned both species, I would be more inclined to say cats are better than you may think at property protection. But yeah, there some very major differences! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

I have to correct things a bit, Beau, and tell you that there are some cats who will round out/raise up their backs so you can pet/kiss 'em. We have that kind here!

Those are all funny examples of cats vs. dogs. Of course, dogs rule...cats drool.

MAdi thought we had cooties. Any time we petted her she would groom. However, in my mind she was absorbing our scent on her tongue because she loved us dearly

That's some interesting information. Yes cats are definitely different although there are some cats out there that are very friendly. I do however enjoy dogs more.

Oh my GOSH!!! I haven't read anything this funny in YEARS!!! I still have a huge grin that seems to be plastered on. Can't wait to show Phil. I had been waiting for this, and the wait was so worth it. You totally knocked it out of the park. I think I will be returning several times today, whenever I start to feel bad.
