A Place in The Sun

A Place in the sun meaning:
: a very good, successful, or desirable position
WELL. YES, IT IS a most desirable place to lay in this position.

ABOUT New Years EVE!
6:49 PM.. I am in a deep sleep! The peeps are watching a movie. Suddenly a loud BOOM! a 2nd BOOM! my head comes up I bark to let them know we are under attack!
Mama assures me its ok. I put my head down. BOOM! Boom! Boom! Mama said
its shaking the house, Daddy said I feel it and CAN HEAR IT. he is deaf so that means its loud.
I say   AROOOOOO AROOOOOO pointing my nose towards the ceiling like a howling wolf.
The Booms continued with a lot more STUFF until 12:45.
MAMA here... Beau did that when the bombing started, and  I said now we know how Gaza Strip feels and the rest of the night he did fine, I did not and the volley for 30 minutes near midnight
woke Bob up from the concussions he felt, he said he did not hear it but felt it.
The idiots acc
across the street had something we have never heard before in our long lives.
We have heard and seen it all, but last night each one that went off was like a piece of
dynamite had been tossed. I laid in bed with ears ringing after each one, and fantasied about throwing a stick of dynamite through their windows.
They are two young men, now in late 20's, that moved there at age 12 and 14 with their newly divorced Mom and her Mom. Last year the mother moved out with her boyfriend and left the boys there, I assume to pay the mortgage on it, since it is still only in her name.
They started a Heavy metal Rock Band, the practice drives me crazy, they scream and beat drums and bang electric guitars. The noise was coming from behind that home, Screaming Drums Loudly with BOOM AFTER BOOM. the front yard was filled with about 10 cars.
The Worst New years even ever in this our home of 35 years

Do you think sunshine make me look old?

Those mortar fireworks need to be banned. I sound like a grumpy old woman talking of banning but i thought so 30 years ago when i first experienced them on arrival in UK. I thought there had been a major explosion in our neighbourhood but there were no alarms or sirens. (Firewroks sales are heavily restricted in NZ so i had never seen fireworks). I hope you have all recovered today.

Oh boy, that sounds terrible! It was very strange here as we only heard a few fireworks in the distance. None around our neighborhood. I don’t like fireworks at all, never have.

Struth, I would have been under the bed if that happened here!!! Well done for being a good alert dog, Beau... hugs and wags YAM-aunty xxx

How horrible. Rather inconsiderate of the neighbors too. I get grumpy when my sleep is disrupted so I probably would have called the police. Most neighborhoods have noise ordinances.

Hello,
Sounds awful. The dogs tend to get really scared. Luckily we did not hear anything here, we had neighbors that enjoyed throwing off lots of fireworks.
Beau, you look very handsome sitting in the sunshine.
HUGS, have a happy day!

That's horrible and no way to spend any night. You need to get a doggie friend to bite them on the buttocks Beau

You look very happy to be hanging out in the sunshine, Beau. We're sorry to hear about all those nasty, loud booms on New Year's Eve. This year we were surprised that we didn't hear any booms around us that night.

It was pretty loud for us here...but sounds like we had it great compared to your place, Beau!

We didn't hear any here this year, but in years past it was awful. Our Angel Little Bit hated fireworks.

Have a woof woof day, Beau. My best to your mom. ♥

I'm so sorry to hear this. We heard some noise too but we stayed up until midnight. That had to be bad for it to wake up Bob.
Nothing better that laying in the sunshine.

Your post title sounds like it would be a good name for a song!
I'm so sorry about those rude neighbor's behavior. At least it wasn't idiots firing off guns in the sky ... like the one that killed a 15-year old girl in her own home a few years ago in Phoenix.

That's horrible! I would probably ask the police to tell them to turn the noise down.

That does not sound like fun! There were a few fireworks around here, but nothing compared to the 4th of July.
