Sundays Ride Thankful Thursday

Our Sunday, Dec. 17,2023 visit to Bray Park was the most fun ever. The night before we had 3 inches of rain, the rain stopped, and the wind was still howling causing 87 million smells to blow into my nose. I walked so fast sniffing Mama was fly out behind me like a kite....
And then I spied the maintenance man mopping the restroom floors. I headed over to see him, and at first, he looked scared of me. He held his hand out to my nose and then he kneeled down and he talked baby talk like Mama. He said what a pretty face, let me see your pretty face, he rubbed ears, and butt and kept talking to me with a heavy accent. I loved him and he loved me. Mama said he is Hispanic, like Francisco from Spectrum. Mama got so excited talking to him and hearing him talk to me,
SHE FORGOT TO TAKE PHOTOS.
We drove in the driveway at home after a 30-minute RIDE with my head hanging out and Daddy took me inside on my leash. I can't be off leash because our street has people who drive fast and furiously.
I waited and waited for her to come in because I get peanut butter on my squeaky gator, and she didn't come in for 87 minutes.
I said what were you doing? she said I forgot the photos, but never fear, I got them in the car.  she popped an old selfie of mine in the one of the houses.
She said to notice how 4 years of drought ruined our yard..But we got RAIN last night. and the storm missed us, again. For that we are sincerely thankful.
Car art! I am thankful for people who pet me, and thankful for strangers that love me and talk to me. Mama is thankful for the same things I am. She is also thankful for her iPhone 7, I am not thankful for the cell phone. 😛

My but that was a big story you had to tell us today, Beau boy - and a mighty fine tale it was. How wonderfurs to be loved on by a new friend and to get rides in the car and to have gotten away with it all without the eye-fone clicky beast!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

Your mama is very clever turning photos of lights in the car into an art form. Glad you got that much needed rain. What a kind man you met!

What a fun time you had and isn't it great to meet new people who are very nice and pet you and talk to you? And you were a good dog to post your mama's great pictures from inside her car. You have a super creative and talented mama, for sure, Beau. But you know that, of course. You do put up with her taking your picture all the time.

Sounds like a good visit to the park. How nice that you got to meet with the maintenance man. Sorry you had to wait so long for her to come in and give you your peanut butter gator.

Your last sentence makes me chuckle!
Even tho' my own smell-er isn't close to being as advanced, I'm delighted you discovered so many aromas. AND you found a new friend. We should call you Mister Congeniality!
