We agree with the comments above. The word 'mollycoddle' has negative implications and NO WAY is there anything wrong with giving you, handsome Beau, all the attention that is your natural right.
I only wish my human, who abandoned me for five hours yesterday morning to go cycling (and it wasn't even Thursday) then again for a couple of hours in the evening to go to see a short play, would mollycoddle me a bit more.
