Natl Check The Chip Day

If your dog or cat has not been chipped, Chip It Today!
Check for the chip, Check to see if the chip is registered and current information is update.
Please also put Pet name, phone number on your pet.
I have my county license, they know my chip is there, and I have a dog tag with both Mamas name and two phone numbers.
Think about this, you are out walking with your mama, suddednly and you are so scared you run away.
If someone finds you, they need to know your number quickly. Even with a chip it can take hours to track it down.

Someone leaves your door open, your cat heres the thunder and runs out the door, its raining, someone finds the cant and doesn't know who to call.
This is NOT just for Dogs. Chip Your Pet Please

Thank you for publicizing how important chipping is, Beau! Some pets are never reunited with their families because they haven't had it done.

Here in UK the law has changed to make us chip pets and to make any driver who hits an animal on the road responsible to take it to a vet (where the chip will identify the owner so it can get treated appropriately). Drivers used to be afraid of taking injured animals to vets because they would get stuck with the bill. Mr T had a chip (and a passport).

Microchipping was made compulsory in NSW in 1998. Angel Jade didn't at all mind getting stabbed. There were treats aplenty from the vet! It's a great system. Glad you had yours, Beau. Hugs and wags YAM-aunty xxx

I am "chipped", as I am a law abiding dog (in some respects) and it is the law here in the UK. I also wear a tag with Gail's phone number. She tells me there was a phase when my predecessor Bertie kept running off and not coming back when walking in the countryside and more than once she received phone calls from other folks who were also out walking, telling her they had her dog! It has not happened with me. So far...

Chips are excellent for getting a fur baby back home to his/her family.

Hello, Beau,
It is a great idea to have your pet chipped.
I wish it was a law here too.
HUGS, have a happy day!

That's a great PSA, Beau. We both have chips and our information is all up to date.

I so agree. Our Angel Little Bit was chipped and always wore her tags. She was never lost, but it was the right thing to do.

Have a fabulous day, Sandra. Scritches to handsome Beau. ♥

This sort of thing can't be stressed strongly enough!
We try and be uber-careful, but realize things happen. Once back in Arizona let the girls out back, not realizing a repairman had left the gate open. Thank God, Macie had the good sense to go around and wait at the front door, but little Grace had traveled all the way to the end of our street.

I'm going to go over to Amazon and check out those air tags thingies.

We agree Beau, chips are the best insurance policy you hope to never use.
