Sunday Ride to Walmart

Get in the car, Mama! I am embarrassed at all the yelling you and Daddy were doing while putting the hissing thing on each tire while the big machine roared and thumped.

Daddy was yelling is it pumping?
She was yelling yes, that's why it is making the loud noise,
I can't here it he yells.
Keep it ON she yells, We paid 2 dollars for 5 minutes.
(The machine quit on 3rd tire)
you do not want to hear the words while Mama put 2 more dollars in the slot.
Some of it that I remember was about 5 minutes being enough time if you kept the button down and quit pulling it off to yell at me was it done.
Instructions to daddy from da mama were easy.
Pump air until I yell Done.
He kept stopping to say is it done and ate up all the time.
OH WELL! we did NOT go back with his truck to get air; he spent 40 minutes in the garage
using his ancient pumping loud machine.
His tires were 24 not 36 and hers were 28 not 35 yet HE said they did not need air.
LIFE! it is what it is
PLUS Mama and I had to listen to the rant of 4.00 spent on air, and the fact it was always free before and easy peasy to put in.
Did I mention the air pump takes debit/charge cards?
Did I mention Daddy kept saying the car rides so much better and
Mama kept saying I TOLD YOU IT NEEDED AIR  WEEKS AGO
😁😁😋😋😉😉

Oh my gosh! There are places here that have free air, you just have to look around. Go to Lowe's. On the edge of the parking lot on the grass, they have free air for their for their customers. There is also a tire place, I think they are called Discount Tires. They have free air.

That's ridiculous to charge for air! A great post, though. 😊

OMD Beau, well at least you didn't join in the shouting... two's company and all that! Last time I had wheels, all air pumps here were free to use courtesy of the fuel stations. I hope that is still the case now that I am about to have wheels again!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

Oh my, I can see it all playing out. Air is free here and I used to have to go every week to put air in my tires. Then I had a mechanic clean the rims up and remount the tires and they've been good every since.
I can't imagine paying that much for air. I was lucky enough to be able to hear the noise the machine makes when it's done.

Hello Beau,
You must have been confused hearing all the yelling.
It seems like a lot of money to pay for air.
At least it could stay on till all the tires are done.
HUGS, have a happy day!

That sounds like a major "airy-fairy" episode, Beau!

That seems like daylight robbery to me. But I guess someone has to pay and service the machines in these financially strapped times.
Still, $ well spent as right pressures mean less fuel used, MOL

We get upset when our parents shout at each other too, Beau. Our mom doesn't pay for air since it's always free at the BJ's or she can pop into the Valvoline where she gets her oil changes, and they fill you up for free.

That is so funny and I can relate.
We go to Big Ten Tires - we drive up - and they come out and put it in for free. Maybe you have one of those.

That was no fun waiting.

Do you have American Tire by you? They check your tires and put in air if needed for free. They hope that you will buy their tires when you need new ones.

When I get back down there, your momma's going to have to give me a lesson in airing tires. (Yep, I'm one of those scaredy-cats ... afraid of blowing up the tire in my face.)
Just the other day I pulled into Don Duncan tires where they cheerfully checked and aired up all 4. Tom had told me they didn't need it, but I've stopped believing all he says.

Paying for air does seem kind of silly sweet Beau but at least you got to go for a car ride!

Mom's car sends her an email when the air pressure in the tires is low ...well at least for her summer tires. The sensors are expensive and she does not have them in her winter tires. The weather here is totally crazy this year, we went from super cold to super hot to cold and now it is hot again. THe river bounced up and down between 18 and 21.5 feet for 3 weeks, but now it still high, but where it should be. Now if only we did not have thunder storms every afternoon...I hate the thunder! We love ally our Mom's art (we looked back) Keep being awesome guys!

It's hard to watch them, isn't it? But kind of funny, too??

Gail's car has panicky tyre pressure sensors which can cause the dashboard light to flash when the pressure is perfectly OK. So she's learned to ignore the light, which is perhaps not a good thing...

Hi friend, Ojo here! I do not like loud hissing things. But I am very happy to see you looking so happy in Car! It is good to see you, friend!

This would have driven me crazy. My oil change place always checks my tires and adds air if needed (no charge) and my mechanic will also do it for free if I stop in.
