I Love Lucy or maybe not

The above photo is me drunk from the sun and headed inside the house because I get to hot in the sun.
this photo is provided to prove to you that is MY fence, and do you see that split up top to the left?
That is MY split that I watch Lucy through when she is on her porch. Also meant to prove this is MY blog and does not belong to thatdanglposttealingdoglucy she is only here with my permission.

Can you see her eyes?
Mama is always saying,
I love Lucy, she means she loves Lucy, I would love lucy, but she Barks at me through the slit in the privacy canvas on the fence.

Lucy is one of the 3 Pities that moved in next door. she is 8-year-old and the other 2 are her 7-year-old son Lucky and daughter Suzy.

When she talks to Mama, Mama talks baby talk to her.
Mama says silly stuff like Pretty Girl! I love you, Lucy. Good Girl and she says it in a mushy voice like when Mama talks to me. Then Mama talks to her in her storyteller voice and Lucy listens like I do.

And she stops barking and looks at Mama as long as mama talks. If Mama stops talking, she barks.
Personally, I think the barking is her saying Tell me a story, like you tell Beau.
The arm you see is Daddy Willie, telling her she needs to come inside.
She stole mamas' heart because Willie got her from an abusive situation when she was pregnant and almost a year old and so thin, she was only bones and had marks and cuts all over her.
He saved her and she had 5 puppies and they kept two. Suzy, was the runt and she looks
just like our Angel Jake.
Mama said I love you Lucy and she does.
I have not petted her, but Mama has petted her three times when Willie walks her through our front yard each morning. she loves being petted as much as I love it.
Mama does like Lucy but we are having problems with Lucy being let off leash and twice now she has run up to us scaring mama that we might fight.
It makes mama nervous, and a nervous mama makes me and Lucy nervous.

Wow, Mama must have a very hypnotizing voice. I have actually heard Mama's voice and it is beautiful enough to make anyone be quiet and just listen. Will she say anything to the owner about the off leash problem?

It is nice that you can see your neighbour through the fence. Our garden in Aberdeen is surrounded by a 4-5 ft high stone wall and so I can only communicate with my neighbours (cocker spaniel Stroma on one side and Briard Wylie on the other) by barking.
Toodle-oo!
Nobby.
PS Gail thinks a polite word with the neighbour about your concerns for Beau with Lucy off leash would be justified.

Beau, I quite understand why mum is happy to commune with Lucy...and agree with the others that a polite discussion with the neighbours about her worries would be a good idea. May not change anything but at least it will be off her mind. Hugs and wags YAM-aunty xx

Dear Beau, we wouldn't like to read that you and Lucy had any falling out - 'specially with you being so gentle with all other creatures. Maybe the Mama can negotiate a diplomatic solution to that border issue. Xxx Mr T and F

Lucy looks like a sweet girl. No wonder your mama loves her. Of course I know your mama loves you even more.
I wonder why Lucy's dad thinks it's ok to leave her off leash.

You are of course within your rights to protect your territory, but Lucy does sounds like such a lovely girl!

I have to tell you a secret - mama loves all dogs. I am glad you have a friend. I do think she needs to be on a leash though! For everyone's safety.

Awwww! Lucy's expression in #5 warms my heart.
Bless her daddy's heart; she's another Slum Dog Millionaire.

Thank you for sharing Lucy with us, Beau. You're still the King of Hearts.

Your mom loves all pups. Not to worry, you're her favorite pup.

Have a woof woof day, Beau. My best to your mom. ♥

We think your Mama may be a dog whisperer...kind of like Dr. Doolittle, and all dogs understand what she's saying!

We do hope you and your Mama get Lucy's "off-leash" situation resolved soon. That is ur Mama's pet peeve too.

Sunny & Rosy

It's nice you can see Lucy next door Beau that way it's not a mystery neighbor!

I totally get this - I'm sometimes afraid of new friends that come charging at me too .... even when they have 4 legs. I hope that maybe sometime you'll all get to be one on one friends, when the time is right. ❤❤

That's not friendly of her to bark! I'm glad she and your mom get along, but she shouldn't be allowed to scare your mom.

Sorry she barks at you. Yes I saw her eyes. She looks like a cute dog. So Mama needs to keep talking to her so she doesn't bark!!!

A loose dog, no matter how nice, always worries our Mom too if she is walking us. She worries about falling or us getting hurt. We hope Lucy's peeps love her enough to not let her run loose like that any ore.

Awwm Beau, you wouldn't hurt anyone named Lucy, would you? I hate to admit it, but she does look like a sweetheart. I bet you two could be really good friends, maybe even more than we can be cause we can't actually be together. But we'd be great friends if we could be! Your friend, Lucy

I think I could be friends with white Lucy, too! *wags* Riley
