Beau on Nature Friday with Rosy.

Most Sunday Mornings, you will find me walking in the wooded areas and on sidewalks here at Bray Park.
Our last visit, we stumbled upon something we had not seen before.
We found a War Memorial called Victory Forest, in honor of those who fought and died in Desert Storm War.
Below is where we walk, but it is not bright sun. We are there as day breaks, walking in the semie dark and photos are hard to take.
Mama had an errand to do at 10 am and stopped at the park to get photos of the
 Forest.
She added us into two photos to show you how beautiful it is.
The white SUV is ours, and we park there, and she lets me sniff every tree, every post, we go down the post first, then around and behind the tree in order for me to smell.
All the scents in the park. She said to tell you canines can smell 40 times what humans can.
Mama thinks I smell 87 million scents. We don't get a lot of exercise because I am standing sniffing every 2 feet.
Mama says we stop 87 times every  50 feet we walk.
t
The park is full of wildlife, and they leave a lot of scents to follow.
For the more pictures and story of  Victory Forest go to MadSnapper, her blog, not mine

You have a loving, thoughtful mom to let you sniff so much and not overdo your body. ❤️

we do that too... maybe it has the name park because we have to park our butts all 2 seconds to read the news from dogs & wildlife?

I don't think humans have any idea of what our sense of smell is really like. They would be so envious if they knew!

40 times more?! Wow.
It's really good to see you back, Beau. I hope your momma's feeling a lot better!

My humans wonder whether sniffing makes a picture in my head like looking at something does for them .... it is better because looking is a photo, sniffing is a story that unfolds with characters and chapters and activities. Don't you agree Beau? paw smacks Mr T

We hope this means your Mama is feeling better, Beau. You and our Riley would be good walking companions, cause he always holds the rest of us up reading pee mail and leaving comments. XOX Chia, Lucy and Xena
