Today is Nature Friday and what is more nature than Raccoons?
See these tracks? they are all the way around our pool. Racoons come during the night and drink, swim and wash their acorns they dig up in our yard.
The yard looks like a giant was jumping around on a pogo stick.
our yard is full of holes, and I am so worn out from tracking them, I have to sun myself to build my sniffing strength.
Dreaming of Racoons, can you feel/see my excitement????
go ahead and say it, I am nothing like my Angel Brother Jumpin Jake.
I don't know what she is talking about. Racoons NEVER come out in the Daylight or in Sunshine. I only here/see/smell them when its dark. We think we hear babies in the yard behind us. |

Oh my goodness, what cute footprints!! Now I wonder, Beau, just what you would do if you came face to face with one?
Agree with Ginny, they are cute footprints. You are a good dog to patrol and protect your family Beau :)
Those are cute footprints. It must be exhausting doing all that tracking.
Are raccoons dangerous if you corner one? They look so very cute and even a little sorrowful. xxx Mr T and F
I would just love to go leaping around your yard, chasing your raccoons. I would be respectful of any babies, of course.
Toodle-oo!
Nobby.
Neat captures of the footprints! I am not a fan of raccoons.
It is good you are on patrol Beau! HUGS, have a happy day!
We agree that having to sniff all those paw prints can be exhausting. In our yard we are always sniffing the critters that come inside our fence at night, too.
Oh Beau the critters that roam and go bump in the night are a mystery, Racoons can be feisty best to only dream about them. BOL
Hugs Cecilia
It sounds like the racoons are enjoying all the mod cons over at your place, Beau!

Ollie
I don't know about raccoons, but the armadillos are driving Tom crazy. LOVE that analogy of a giant jumping around on a pogo stick.
Fortunately, we've not seen evidence of them in a few days ... I've barricaded places we think they're getting in.
Sweet dreams, dear Beau!
Aaawwww...what cute little paw prints!! It's weird, we haven't seen any raccoons in NM but the bunnies are everywhere!!

Rosy
So do you really think that they swim in the pool?
Really. So they can go in and swim and get out by the stairs? We never had any at our house in Fontana that had a pool.
It does sound like the masked bandits are having their nightly pool party at your place Beau!
I would grow weary of trying to sniff all the places they have been, too.
I love those little paw prints, but I love you even more. 😊❤️
You might be a very big and very good tracker, Beau but be careful. Mama raccoons are like Mama bears, only smaller. Or so we're told. *wags* Lucy and Riley
