Mama was stalking me, I headed for Daddy's chair,
I heard his voice calling me there.
I had no idea, he was tricking me,

Rules. Words. Commands. It is so tiring. Boring. Exhausting. I, Beau, resolve to simply not pay attention to That Woman and all that comes out of her mouth for the next 364 days (yes, one day has already passed while I thought over my resolution for this New Year). Now, mind you: I have heard that resolutions are frequently broken, though only for very valid reasons. Some I might consider valid would be 1) the offer of a walk, or 2) a ride in the car, 3) some special treats, 4) a new chew bone, preferably soaked in beef gravy, 5) an extra large serving for dinner, 5) did I mention a walk, a nice long one especially, 6) some extra TV time next to Dad on the sofa, 7) hearing Mama say her camera cell phone thingy got broken: oh yes, oh yes ..., and 8) well, maybe those are enough for the moment. Right now I'm heading over to the fence line, stick my nose into the dirt there, see if I can find something to chew on or eat, you know, something I'm really not supposed to chew on or eat, that will get the humans all shouting and running and their blood pressure rising. It's good for them once in awhile to have all that excitement, Happy Beau Year!
