Sunday's Magic Morning Walk

I stood insdie the front door as Mama walked out on the porch. It was 6:15 and she puts on her walking clothes at 6:30. She was out there 87 hours.
She came inside and said we now have a spectacular view of the rising sun since the tree is gone.
She also said to Daddy, I was leaning on the wall to stay steady, and a baby owl hit the bush right by my elbow and was gone again. She said she could hear the owls calling
She showed daddy the top two and said look how it is changing.

I said WOO WOO whoooo cares, get your walking gear Mama.
We headed out on the walk and the sky looked like the top two but a little brighter.
We walked around to the front yard and there he was
A Fledgling Blue Jay, we scared him silly, and he took off running fast and trying to fly and we stopped to watch, and he flapped and flapped and managed to get on the bottom limb 2 feet off the ground,
Suddenly a big mean Daddy Blue Jay came screeching and dived on the limb beside the baby.
He said Do Not Touch My Baby!
Mama said it ok Baby we are leaving, teach your baby to fly.
We walked to our turnaround about 15 minutes and
when we turned to walk, Mama kept saying Look Beau, clouds are building.
Oh, Look Beau aren't they gorgeous?
They built taller and taller, and I refused to sit still so she could take a photo.
I heard her tell daddy she missed 2 spectacular photos.
For me it's all about the WALK and the SCENTS.
We rounded the corner into our yard and Mama Said Sit and I did!
I was tired and hot by then
She got the view from our driveway in the bottom 4 of the collage above and added me to her favorite to prove I was there and saw it too.
Mamas turn now.
Today was sheer magic, my heart filled with joy, my soul healed, I wished I had the gift of poetry because the creation God created lifted my stressed-out heart every step of the way we walked.
The birds sang, the geese flew, the doves called as they sat on the wires, the sky changed magically every second of the walk.
Nature, the great healer of hearts.

It IS really gorgeous, the pink clouds and beautiful black silhouettes of the palm trees. Hooray, now you can snap all the sunrises while I do the sunsets! We will be known as the Sun Twins!

we are so happy to live with dogs so we have to do our daily walks... and then nature can do the trick to heal our soul.... quasi a prescription from a dog-tor ;O)

My word, Beau boy - I know that you had your eyes firmly fixed on your sniffing and walking duties, but I totally understand mum's delight at the gorgeous morning sky! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

I do remember my years in Florida, when our home faced East and the sunrises were so often spectacular ... and yes, healing.

So pretty. Nature's beauty does have a way of healing the heart and soul. It always gave me a feeling of peace when I was out walking.

What a beautiful sunrise! Thanks for sharing it with us but we agree with you, Beau, the walk should be the main thing and picture taking second. BOL!

The sky is beautiful. I guess that is a plus getting to see the sun rise. We always see the sun set. God's creations are amazing!!!

For what it's worth, I do believe your last paragraph qualifies you as a poet! I'm so glad what started as a 'pain' (dead tree) turned around so beautifully.
Wish you could send some of that joy my direction!

Those Blue Jays have no sense of humor Beau and they have bad manners too. The sky sure looks pretty!

You're so right, Sandra. Nature can heal, and sadly, nature can kill. I am glad it was a healing day.
