Finding Chicken Little

My friend Jackie stopped by with a gift, a sweet little garden art chicken!
I spent 15 minutes moving her from place to place trying to decide where she looked best.

I nearly named her Henny Penny but quickly called her Chicken Little.
She's cute and made of metal, which is brittle.

Does next to the plant make seeing her too tuff?
Or does she look best by that purple stuff?
I put her close enough to hear her when she runs in circles bawling,
The sky is falling, the sky is falling!

Does she look better close to the wall, or a foot from the wall
or does it really matter at all?
You can read the original story from 1800 HERE and it even changes the ending because in the story the king never got to hear the sky was falling.
You see Henny Penny, Cocky Locky, Goosey Poosie, Ducky Daddles and Turkey Lurkie
met up with Foxy Loxy and the king never got the message.
The Moral of this story is
Choose your friends wisely.
I did and thank you Jackie Wacky for Chicken Lickin yard Art.

I gave Mama my full permission to tell this story on MY blog because I love Auntie Jackie Wacky.

It is adorable! But you might not want to make it more visible than it already is. I would fear that someone might steal it. Of course, YOU know the way I think!

both places are good, but it looks more "real" closer to the wall ;O)))) we love this chicken, it makes a super garden decoration...

That is really cute and I think it looks good no matter where you decide to put it. This is the kind of gift that serves multiple purposes. It looks nice in the yard, it makes the perfect photographic subject and perfect blog fodder.

We love your chicken garden art. We have some garden art that gets moved around every year. The birds like landing on our big butterfly in the perennial garden.

I really like her especially by the white wall.

Chicken Little is one of my favorite children's books and to this day our Thanksgiving Turkey is always named Turky Lurkie!

Closer to the wall does make it easier to see. So cute.

Choose your friends wisely indeed.

Have a woof woof day and weekend, Beau. My best to your mom. ♥

What a cute gift! You KNOW I love the name Chicken Little.
Trick of the light: Ithought for a moment it was gray/coral on one side, black/red on the other. Next to the purple plant is my favorite, but it's fortunate she's able to wander.

She shows up better close to the wall. What a sad story Chicken Little is! But thanks for telling me about it.

It does look nice close to the wall. I love it. I need some decorations like that in my yard.

I like her near the wall - you can see her better. I love chickens.

We love your Sky Is Falling Chicken Little! We think she looks best close to the wall, but for fear of being called a wall hugger she might want to move around from time to time. She'll probably find more bugs to eat that way, too. XOX Xena, Lucy, Chia and Riley

How nice of your friend to give you such a cute gift. We like her best in the last photo where she is a little bit out from the wall.
