The Smart dog and Humberto

See the part of the door that the blinds don't cover?
Mama puts her fingers in the little cubby hole and rolls the door open and we both go out.
I have done this 87 million times in the past 18 months.
Last week Mama told daddy in WORDS she was done struggling to open that door and was calling someone to repair it.
HE CAVED after MONTHS of bickering.
Mama went to the PRO desk at Home Depot and asked if they new someone who could repair the door.
The lady hunted for 87 hours in computer and could not find one.
She looked up and standing at the cashier was a man with a beard.
The lady said OH There is Humberto, he is one of our BEST.
Humberto The Contractor that can do ANYTHING gave Mama his card and she came home and said he was coming on Thursday which was a week away and
the pawrentz had another bickering epiosde.
Humberto Came, and he LOVED me,
What is NOT TO LOVE?
He told me he and one of his men installed a new fireplace for a homeowner and they had two VERY large German Shepherds. He said they sat on the sofa like book ends and watched him the whole time they worked. For hours and days.
Daddy laughed and said, well this guy is NOT a guard dog as you can see. I was leaning on Humberto's
legs.
He walked over to the door and lifted it up in the air and carried it out by the pool, turned it upside down and declared it needs new rollers.
The Bad News Is, the door is from 1989 and the parts had to be ordered, so another week that Mama Can't open MY door.
FINALLY the POINT OF THE POST!
Friday morning at 3 AM it was my normal go outside time.
Mama came down the hall, opened the blind all the way back and open the
OTHER DOOR!
She stepped through and I tried to go out MY side of the door and my head went BUMP!
I backed up and looked at it and she said come this way and walked in and out he wrong door.
My head went Bump again. She called daddy and he came and opened MY door and that was that.
At daylight we played if you walk through the WRONG side of the door you get a TREAT!
On the 3rd treat I had learned there are two doors and was to dumb to play dumb and I could have gotten more treats.
I don't get why the pawrentz laughed so much, why is it funny I bumped my head.
Mama told me I am the smartest of all 5 of their angel dogs because none of them would walk through the wrong side even for a treat
I get to see Humberto again next Thursday.
This is also for Caturday Art because Mama put me in the photo of the door using PicMonkey because I refused to stand there EVEN FOR A TREAT.

I am so glad that Mama insisted to get Humberto! There is NO reason she should have to live with this. Beau, I see you are a creature of habit, including doors!

Gail tells me that when she had her Torridon cottage remodelled, the door that used to lead into the kitchen became the door to the enlarged bathroom, and to access the kitchen there is now a newly installed door. Apparently it took Bertie months and months to accept the new set up.
Toodle-oo!
Nobby.
PS All going well, I'm promised a visit to the Torridon cottage at the end of next week!

We pups, big or small learn something and then its hard to try and change the wiring in our heads to do it a different way, BOL!

Glad you are getting your door fixed to end all the what door today confusion! And don't bump your brains, they need to not be scrambled in case you need to earn some other stuff.

Have a great weekend!

There is a right way. There is a wrong way. There is one way.
There is my way.
My way is the right way, the one way and the only way.
So I say.

Do not make me do things a different way.

Good for mama insisting that you get someone to fix the door. The screen on my sliding door doesn't slide well but I think it's a bigger problem than just the rollers. Mine doesn't open from either side either.

Hello Beau,

I hope your head is not hurting from hitting that door. It is good your Mama is insisting on having it fixed. You are such a good dog, greeting new people at your home. HUGS, have a happy day!

Humberto ought to be paying your mama for the visits with you...sometimes life is not fair.

You are a smart pup to figure out how to go through the "wrong" side of the door. We would do anything for cookies too. Our paws are crossed that Humberto can get that door fixed.

I don't like change either, Beau. I loved hearing how you played dumb to get more treats!

PS -Before he got really old, my Tom used to be a Humberto, too. I remember being dumbfounded when he was able to remove the sliding glass door at my condo. I'd no idea they were so simple to lift up and out; honestly, I was a little concerned that might present a security threat.

That sounds like an easy fix for the door which is nice. So your other door opens too? Our's only has one door that opens.

You are very smart Beau and we hope the door gets totally fixed soon.

Life can be so confusing at times. We have trouble keeping up with all the changes too.

Beau, You sure made us laugh! We only have one side of the door that oipens and it is also a furry old door. Alex had to fix our door 2 years ago and guess what, our hardware store is so old that they had the right rollers in stock (this was after Mom checked all the big box stores in the big city). Beau, enjoy your visit with Humberto! And I bet you will get extra treats then too! We hope you and your Peeps are having a marvellously happy weekend! Purrs Marv

Hi friend, Ojo here! That is a Very Exciting Story! I do not like it when the humans change things up. But Treats make everything better! Hurray for treats for the wrong side of the door!
