What A Walk! by Beau Beaumont
Tuesday Morn, we were walking down the street,
I saw two people; I love to meet. As soon my eye did spy their faces.
I tugged my Mama across the street, to be petted because I am in their good graces.
The man hugged my neck, the lady gave scritches,
while they both laughed in stitches.
Lady said, I guess we are petting you Beau
we have no choice, since you tug mama where you want to go.
Along came a man on the other side of the street,
I remembered two days ago, we did meet.
Again I tugged mama away from the lady and man,
Mama followed quicky as to the other man I ran.
He met us in the middle of the street
and he massaged my head and shoulders while I sat on his feet.
All four of the humans, laughed out loud,
I just stood there feeling so proud.
As we walked back home I heard John yell, HEY BEAU!
this time he did no stop, he was on Go.
Sometimes he pets me and sometimes its a no.
One block from home, we stopped and stared,
watching a possum that was not even scared.
I said What a walk, we can do this again.
We can go each day, where we have already been.
The possum pic was taken by my mana in 2013 in our yard, the Moss Roses she added for Rosy
for Nature Friday at Adventures of the LLB Gang

Beau, I think you are daily therapy for quite a few people!! And Mom is our poet laureate!
Hi Beau,
Gail and I love today's poem. I am just discovering the pleasures of going for walkies, and meeting loads of friendly people who all stop to say hello and pet me nicely. I like to jump up and try to lick them on the nose when they bend over, but Gail has been saying this - the jumping and face licking - will have to stop. Why?
Toodle-oo!
Nobby.
oh how nice to meet such people!!! and even a possum... that would be our moment LOL
That's quite a story. You are like your mamma, you make friends wherever you go.
All those people were so lucky to meet tou on their walk, Beau!

Beau! I love you, too! If I were there you woukd get a hug from me, too. I still think you would make a great Good Will Ambassador.
What a great poem, Beau. We hope all your walks involve getting pets from all your friends.

What pleasant encounterS you and momma enjoyed! We need to get you a scarf that says, "Ambassador of Goodwill."
Life is so good with a dog even if it is just for a pet.
Beau, you are such a talented dog! What a great poem, I could see you on your walk, crossing the street, getting petted by your neighbors, what a treat!
You make me smile, Beau and so does your mom.
Have a woof woof day and weekend. My best to your mom. ♥

We love your story Beau. Your possum looks 'sly'. Are possums sly creatures? (Like weasels?) Do you get kissed by strangers Beau? I do and we think its weird. Paw smacks Mr T
