You Can Smile Now

I was down, but now I am UP

Yesterday I was really sick when I woke Mama up at 2:20 am. She went into panic mode because I would not eat and did not want to walk. She may be a little gun shy since my Angel Brother Big died so suddenly and now she goes straight to the worst-case scenario.  Her brain said what makes a dog pant, and dig holes and not eat and throw up?

Tumors and bloat and poison and plants and cancer and heart problems. all of those and more.

I slept from 6:30 to 9:15, ate my dry dog food, slept until 11:30 and at noon begged for people food at the table as  I always do. I only got to saltines and 2 punkin treats.

Daddy has not walked a dog in 2 years butt mamas foot was hurting so he took me for a slow walk and we both did really well. Or So He Says! who knows is what Mama thought.

After careful inspection by Mama, of my stinky throw up pile, she is pretty sure one of the workers next door threw food over the fence .  It looked like cornbread and chicken and pieces of egg whites and we have had none of that in a long time.

Rarely I will throw up in the AM but it is always just phlegm and never food. This was a Pile of food.

I am watching him carefully because this is all what I THINK don't know and he still has not pooped today

She said thank you for all the outpouring of love and Power of the Paws because it worked. I am doing good and acting normal at 3:30 am. I am eating she is typing.

Hopefully the workers next door won't make it a habit to throw food over the fence. So glad you are better Beau.

Hello, Beau
I am so happy you are feeling better now. The workers should not be throwing food over the fence. Take care, sending hugs. Have a happy day!

Hello Beau. I hope you are really on the mend now. I am like your Mama. If any of my furbabies show any symptoms of illness or distress, I go into a flat spin. I phone the vet (doggy doctor) even if it's late at night. And normally, he/she says to me, Ma'a, calm down and tell me slowly about your sick dog or cat". Meanwhile I am glad all seems to be better now. Take care. Skabby's Mum, Jo

That is good news, Beau. We were wondering whether you had eaten something you should not have. All paws crossed that you will continue to feel better!

That is good news Beau - stay away from human food is my advice; you don't know what diseases they are carrying and they eat some truly disgusting stuff. Paw smacks Mr T
(PS roast chicken is OK as long as it has no bones and is still real hot when they put it in your bowl and you guard it until it cools down.)

We're so happy to hear you are feeling better, Beau. Those workers next door had better watch out if your mom catches them flinging their trash into your yard. We have our paws crossed that you continue to feel well.

I'm doing the happy dance for you, Beau. I know the workers were being kind, but they didn't do you any favors. I'm sure mom will take care of that when she sees the workers again.

Have a woof woof day and weekend, Beau. My best to your wonderful peeps. ♥

OH, the workers on that house! They probably thought they were giving him a treat, and did not poison him on purpose. BUT now I wonder if the workers are sick!! If that food made a dog sick, can you imagine a person???

Been following this and feel relieved, but a bit PO'd if the people next door threw garbage over the fence. Keep an eye on their actions, poisoning dogs is a crime!!!!

You mama had such a sad experience with Big, so she worries. I'm so happy that you are feeling better. And if anyone throws something over the fence for you to eat, remember how bad you felt and don't touch it. Easier said than done, I know.

Beau, you've no idea how ridiculously happy I am about your recovery.
Your momma and daddy are da best, but don't forget you've a host of loving aunts and uncles out here who care.

That is great news! So glad you are better.

Are you going to say something to the neighbors? That is just wrong of them to do that.
