My heart is broken, I am oh so sad.
I really, really miss my Daddy so bad.
As long as I have known him, he is always inside,
always, always right by my side.
If he goes out I go with him, he is always within sight.
I know if I need him, he is ready to make things right.
Now that he is better, he has new knees,
he is always doing something, like chopping up trees.
Amazon came with a new lopper,
not sure what it is, but some kind of limb chopper.
the past 4 days, he disappears in the workshop
to a place where I can't go and where I am not.
I lay by the door when he goes to the Y to swim,
3 days a week to the Y, I have my mama but not him.
It is strange that he is gone and Mama seems so happy.
She seems to like having time away from her chappie.
I am thankful he is better and having fun,
but not so thankful I am having NONE.
PS from Mama. Beau came to us in Oct 2020, due to Covid and health issues his daddy lived on the sofa or in a chair in the back yard. Never left the house until now except when I took him to appointments.

So does he drive himself to the Y now? Hey, you can have the remote! Your poems are so good! And Beau looks so sad, patiently waiting.
Aww, Poor Beau. You are confused and sad...but your Daddy feels so much better, so he can go out and do all those things, like he did before you came to live there. He loves you so much, I think he might miss you, too...
Poor Beau, but I'm glad your dad is doing well. ❤️
we hear you and we feel the same when our mama is not there... why dogs are not allowed at all places?
Hi Beau,
Gail says she is pleased to hear that your Daddy is out and about, busy and active. I, Bertie, do not approve of human activities that don't involve me too, so I totally sympathise with your troubles.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
PS Next thing you know, he'll take up cycling!!
That's got to be a big confusing change for Beau.
Hello beau,
Your Daddy loves you. It is great your Daddy is feeling better and can get out and do things he loves to do. I know you are sad you can not always go with your Daddy. HUGS, have a happy day!
Beau you are indeed fortunate - my 'gotcha' seemed to be into a household where one or other of the humans disappears from time to time for whole weeks, or even months at a time. You have reminded me to sit on them more when they are here and hope that it stops them from going away. paw smacks Mr T
Poor Beau...your daddy will be with you soon. In the meantime I am sending you a hug!

OH, Beau boy, my heart is aching for your sadness at daddy not taking you with him everywhere! But, one cannot help feeling a little happy for him, that his knees are so much better and the COVID thing no longer keeps him tied to the sofa! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
It's a little time that mom can breathe!
That sure has to be confusing sweet Beau but it's good for your Daddy to get out n' about too!
We feel the same way about our dad, Beau. It's good to hear your dad is feeling well enough to do the things he couldn't do before though.
I am so happy Bob is up and about!!
Hugs cecilia
We know you are sad Beau, but remember a happy, healthy Daddy is more likely to be able to snuggle and play with you!
What you're feeling makes perfect sense, Beau. Momma's done a super job of translating it for us.
PS - Suppose daddy will consider replacing the door with one made of glass?
We all know you want your peeps with you at all times. That's not possible sometimes. Mom did a great job on that poem.
Have a woof woof day, Beau. My best to your peeps. ♥
Yes, that is something Beau is not used to. It is great that Bob is getting out of the house. Skye always waited by the door for Mark if he was in the garage. Do you know if he waits for you when you are out shopping??
We can see that you are sad, Beau, but the important thing s that your Daddy is well.
Woofs,
Ollie
Oh Beau, we get it. Our peeps are almost always home with us too. When they go out for more than an hour, we get so lonesome. We give them a good woo calldown when they get home and act like they abandoned us for months:)

You're a good poet Beau, and got your point across loud and clear. We know how hard it is when things change so much in a household. Maybe just start asking your Mom for more treats and tummy rubs. Lots more. XOX Xena, Lucy and Chia
