My Mama and I were walking down the street,
she was reading writing on a trash can, not watching her feet.
Suddenly a leaping rabbit we did meet.
I lunged to chase the rabbit that I wanted to eat.
I nearly yanked Mama off her feet.
Mama yelled NO,
I stopped and did not go.
She hugged me and kissed me and said Oh Beau!
You are such a good boy, to stop when I say no.
The rabbit was borrowed from the innerweb, the headless dog IS ME .
use your imagination if the rest of me you want to see.

I'm Nobby, successor to Bouncing Bertie. I'm only 8 weeks and 1 day old and I'm confused already. I thought one was supposed to chase rabbits (and rats and mice). That's what my dad Jimbob and mum Vikki taught me on the farm where I lived until yesterday. It seems I have much to learn...

Rabbits are tasty Beau. One of my feline predecessors that lived with F used to catch them (and eat them - all except the skin and the ears) and then sleep for a few days because he was so full of rabbit he couldn't move.
Beau does that waistcoat/backpack thing you wear enable you to carry stuff? A big dog used to walk past my house with his own panniers on a sort of backpack thing. We never knew what he was carrying, but we guess few people would try to steal it off him. Paw smacks Mr T
Beau you are such a good boy to stop when your mom says no. I'm pretty sure Gibbs would have kept on tugging to go after that rabbit.

You are such a good boy, Beau. We are often tempted to chase rabbits in our yard but always obey when our mom or dad tell us no even if we aren't on a leash (because it's in our fenced yard).
You are MUCH better than we would have been...even "good girl Rosy" is hard to reign in when a critter passes in front of her!

We have hares around here, Beau, but since I am no longer allowed to roam off leash outside our garden, I can't chase after them... #1 says that's not such a bad thing, though.
