The laughter of Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve, Mama rolled two kitchen chairs up against the back of the sofa, and she and daddy sat down to do his knee exercise. 

I watched in amazement, and might have been a pest, poking my nose on them, asking what are you doing, Daddy might has said loudly Move, don't touch my leg, stop it Beau.

Mama said Sit, I did. See my sit above. You can tell I know how to SIT.  (take note here: in real life my back would be to you, and my face towards the chairs, also the fact my pawrentz are not near this skinny)

Mama said to Daddy, slide your foot forward, go back as far as you can, she was doing them with daddy, she said let's do 10 each of these. She started to count. They did 10 while I sat and watched.

Then she said OK 10 each of these, lift your foot up and out and back down. 

She counted out loud, 

ONE out and down, TWO out and down, THREE out and down and suddenly

 

on Count of 4,  I put my paw up and out and sat there holding it out to them.

The counting stopped, the laughter began, they hooted and howled and

Ho Ho Ho'ed

While I sat thinking What is so funny.

I want to play too.

After they stopped laughing, Mama said, I think he knows what we are doing. 

Daddy said I think he wants a treat.

 Mama Said You Might be right.

She got up and got me not one but 3 treats.

After all it was Christmas Eve and I know the give me your paw gets a treat and give me your other paw gets a 2nd treat.

What they don't know is, I was not asking for a treat, I was playing the same game they were.

One, up and out and down.

Daddy is doing better each day. 

We have a story about why he has been doing NOT so well

Mama says it is Chrismtas day on Caturday Art Day and this should count, I mean she did draw stick people and clone my leg out, although both were done badly.
