Good dog gone bad..part 1

Remember this bed, the one I sleep on when the peeps watch TV?
And Mama moves it in the kitchen so i am comfy watching the cooks?

For some reason, a few days ago, while Mama and Daddy had their first cup of coffee in bed, Mama screamed BEAU, What are you doing?
Daddy said What? He can't hear even with hearing aids, but thats another story.

Mama raced in the living room and behold the Good Dog Gone Bad was ripping the bed apart.
I loved the sound it made... ripppppppppppp rippppppppppp
NOO! she shouted
Are you crazy? What's are you DOING?
Where is my good dog? Bad Dog! she said

It 's gone now, replaced by this one that was in the crate no one uses.
Mama muttered I am NOT buying a bed ofr you to rip up, just use the old one that's been through 3 dogs before you.
She did wash it and dry it and it feels so soft.

I am not upset, I love this one, It holds my toys and me and I spend more time on it that the other one so what is the BIG DEAL?

The bone goes crunch crunch, the balls go POP POP
The toys from mama and Auntie Jean go squeak squkeak

Mama named the Bone,  Bone, and the squeakies are all squeakies. Now when she says go get your squeaky, I grab which ever one I find first, and if she says go get your bone, well I go get the bone. For some reason this makes mama and daddy laugh out loud. I am so pround when I bring them one and they laugh and hug me.

See how much I love it and my toys In the two videos below.

Ooooooh Beau - now you've done A Bad. Tearing up furniture doesn't make humans terrifically happy, but I'm glad you have an alternative bed. Paw smacks Mr T

I like your new (old) bed, and I don't think you're a bad dog. You just need plenty of toys. I need plenty of my toys too, but I can get them myself and don't have to amuse myself by ripping my bed. Sometimes it's nicer to be a dog, sometimes it's nicer to be a human.

Beau you are a clever dog, and may I say very much 'on trend' in your enthusiasm for recycled products.

The Story of Chessie-Beagle-Baby. The sofa had 2 cushions. She ate a hole in 1 cushion. Mommy turned it over. So she ate a hold in cushion 2. Mommy turned it over. Then she ate a hole in the un-chewed up side of cushion 1. Mommy could not turn it over cause now both sides had big holes with stuffing coming out. When you sat down on cushion 1 you got up with bits o stuffing on your pants-butt. Then one day Chessie ate a hole in the remaining side of cushion 2. Mommy and her family now had a sofa with 2 cushions that had 4 big holes! They were not happy. However, Chessie, the sofa-cushion-eating-much loved beagle dog was very happy. Mommy and Daddy and two babies were poor, so they couldn't afford to buy a new sofa until a long time later. So they put an old blanket on the sofa. Then one day Chessie chewed a big hole in the blanket. The moral of this story is that Chessie was a family member for almost 18 years, living with them in three different states while those babies grew up and had babies of their own! But the family never stopped loving Chessie and she never stopped chewing holes in stuff until her teeth got old ... and we made furniture stores, and blanket stores very happy over many years. Chew away Beau!

Hello Beau,

Oh no, you ripped up your bed. Maybe your toenail poke through, it wasn't your fault. All your chew toys and bones should keep you busy. I am glad you have a spare bed. You are a smart dog and good too. HUGS, have a happy day!

Uh oh... had a squirrel moment, eh Beau boy? Showing a bit of your frustration at restrictions? Never mind, looks like mummy handled it pretty well, after all, and you still have your comforts and toys. Maybe the other bed will return with a new cover? Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

Uh oh, ripping your bed is not a good thing. I agree that the sound it makes is pretty fun though.

We can't believe you would chew a hole in your bed. It must have been some other doggie, right, Beau?

You're not bad, Beau. Pups love to chew and rip things. It's the way of GOOD pups.

Oh Beau, I shouldn't laugh. Really, I shouldn't. You see, years ago Caraleigh scratched and scratched at the carpet in our new apartment until she scratched right through to the pad. (Nope, didn't get THAT security deposit back.)
I'm thinking that must have felt as irresistable as bubble wrap is to humans.

I'm looking forward to Part 2!

Beau, don't you know that it had to be the work of the Evil Cartel of squirrels that ripped your bed???

Dear Beau! Chewing holes in stuff is what us dogs do! I never think I am bad either. Mom is furry glad that I have not chewed anything significant in a Heck of a long time. I told here that I much prefer chewing bully sticks.
You are a handsome boy! I hope you don't chew anything else! Your furrend Cinnamon
