Beau goes to the gas station

Sunday morning at 6:20 am, we got in the car in the dark. I have never ridden in the dark.

We pulled in to the gas/fuel station and Daddy got out.

then Mama got out because daddy was staring dazed like at the pump.

She told me later, in the 18 months  since daddy stopped driving, they put in new pumps.

new instructions. he panicked, she directed.

I got over excited, since in a year of living with my people they have not gotten out at the same time.

I have never been alone in the car.. 

Now I have!

I poked my head out and said I don't want to be in here alone.

While Mama watched daddy pumping gas, she realized I was in a perfect pose and rushed around the car to open the door and get the cell.

She rushed back to the other side and aimed the cell at me, grabbed the quick shot and  I pulled my head in like a turtle in a shell and refused to look at her or put my head back out the window.

I put my head out, she aimed, i pulled it in, several time

This is all she got. she muttered something about bad dog and wanting a photo with the neon lights on my face and dark background. That she missed a stunning photo of my head and blah blah blah

I said "What?"

 We may be late today. I get to go get loved and petted by the vet and his pretty girl techs. Its my annual check up and shots. I love going to the vet.
