Just for fun I googled How can dogs tell you love them? I found this
What Dogs Want! the first on the list said, Pats, Rubs, Scritches butt Skip the hugs! Really? Beau Begs For Hugs.
Read them is you dare or care and when I did I only agree with about half of them.

Well, each dog is different, like people. I imagine many don't like the confined feeling of a hug. I love what you have done with this hug photo, so full of love and beauty.
Don't worry Beau - cats hate being dressed up or kissed too. Thank goodness we've both got sensible humans on our staff. Paw smacks Mr T
I wont even say what I think of them...
Awww, I love the image of Bob hugging Beau. My Goldie Girl loved hugs. Maybe each dog is different. Take care, enjoy your day!
Can't say that I agree with all of those either. I have had dogs over the years who have broken just about all those rules. As for the kissing, Gibbs is always in MY face and Duke always was too.

Never mind other dogs, Beau boy, you be you that's all that's impawtant!!! Great fancy work by mama today. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
What a fun list! Both Macie and Grace love playing kissy-face, belly scratches (including under their 'pits'), and yes. Hugs.
Love what you've done with the second image! For some reason it made me think, "That would make a great bedsheet - or a pillowcase, even
." (LOL)
That sure is nice art sweet Beau!
Love the photos and the quote!!

What a lovely picture of daddy hugging his dog. I don't hug mine, I pet them, give tummy rubs to Faith, and I kiss their foreheads. Between their ears.I think we figure out what each dog likes the best. Not sure mine like the kissing part.
Disco loves to be held and hugs by Kelly - ONLY!
What a sweet picture of your boys.
I especially like the simplicity of the first picture. And I'm with you. This person who wrote about what dogs want is way off base. My schnauzer Lexi did not appreciate being touched. Food. Quality time together doing things. And as far as belly rubs, Lucy turns over and actually uses her front paw to pull my hand down to her belly.
Not only that, but "consistent food" in other words, always feeding the same kibble (and I won't get into the hazards of kibble at its best) will actually create allergies, as dogs aren't born with food allergies, but developy them from eating the same thing over and over. *sigh* I'll stop here. Except to say I'm glad you don't buy into all those likes, either!
