I was glad to see he is vaccinated and the lower right is him and the dogs last week in the safe closet place during our thunderstorms. the dog with face to wall is the wheeled dog. |
In a prior Post we told you about our meeting with a dog on wheels.
Above are photos from his FB page.
We have a story to tell you that fits under the heading of
Meant to Be.... one definition is "Destined or fated to happen.
Mama will take it from here
The Man above I have seen for about 10 years, with 5 dogs, but never in our neighborhood.
Friday morning I stopped in our vet office to pickup Beaus RX.
While paying for it I told the receptionist about Beau's meet up with the dog on wheels.
The lady behind me holding her cat, said Oh can you give him my number? I have a dog on wheels and would love to talk to someone else that has one.
I said I don't know his name, and told her about him, she said I used to see a man with 5 dogs in my neighborhood but I love off 75th street and he had no dog on wheels.
We have not seen him in a week. Saturday AM coming home from Wal-Mart, I got to the street I turn on and thought, I think I will go straight and go home the other street.
I came to a stop at the sign and behold standing waiting to cross the street was the man and 3 dogs in the photos above!
He smiled and waved and I put the window down, he stepped to my window and I said I am so glad to see you again. I asked for his name and phone number, he said I will write it down for you and I handed him a card, he wrote cell, email and name down and handed it back.
He said I teach at FSU. Tell her to text ir email me is the quickest way to get a call back, I am in classes five days a week.
Since I had no idea who the woman was, I typed all the info in email ad sent to Shea, the receptionist at the vet and she answered Immediately that she would forward the info to Tracy right away.
I wish I could see the two dogs on wheels meet each other.
This was
MEANT TO BE!
PS I researched and he is a professor of Science at the college and everything I wanted to know was on his FB page. I also found he used to live in the neighborhood off 75th street where Tracy lives, and has been walking the dogs here for 10 years. He bought a house in our neighborhood and that means we will be meeting again, In the 10 years, he has had several other dogs that have since died. He rescues special needs dogs.

That was definitely meant to be. So glad you saw him and were able to get his info to pass on to the other woman. What a caring person he must be to take in special needs dogs.
This was a great story to read...
Little miracles can become big things when we just open our eyes to the world around us.
He is one of the Angels who walks among us!
Hugs Cecilia
I love this story so much! So glad you listened to your instincts and didn't turn.
With a heart as big as his, I'll bet he's a great instructor. Now I'm wondering if he and that lady are already married. (Things that make me go hmmmmmm.)
Such a wonderful guy! I hope Beau is okay and eating today.
What an uplifting story - I loved that - so sweet. Someone cares so much. And you too for setting those two up! Awesome.
What a lovely encounter with a great guy that obviously cares for dogs.
Terrific post! You are so kind! People like you are the best. As is the professor who rescues special needs dogs.
I do not believe in coincidences. Yes, it was meant to be.
What a wonderful soul that man has!!
What a lovely store of a meant to be moment. And how nice that you and the vet receptionist helped to make the rest happen. Now that this nice man lives in your neighborhood, I'm sure you will meet him and his dogs again. I'm glad I went back and read the posts I missed.
Wow, what an awesome person he must be!
