After my Friday NOONISH ball game, Mama surprised me by removing my collar, while I was standing with ball in my mouth AFTER daddy washed the ball and gave it back.
She slipped a lead over my head and said Stay.
I somewhat did, with a few tugs on the lead while she poured soap suds all over me
as soon as she started hosing off the suds, I decided it felt good and I stood still while she said
Look at the dirt coming off your FEET, you are running black dirty water out of your furs.
She dried me off, let me in the house
Sat on the ottoman with two big towels
and OH Wow!
I got rubbed and rubbed and hugged and hugged and rubbed some more.
I would walk away and shake, and come back for more rubbing.
And here I am , still a little damp
licking myself dry like, well, a CAT.
Got the paw
Is this one dry,
Wait, let me get the other one.
how about this one? does it look dry yet?
Got the, well, you know private parts.
I loved my bath, do you? How often do you get bathed? Do you go to a groomer? Who Bathes you.
Mama has hosed me off a few times but this was my first SOAP bath and I did Pawfect!

Look at you all squeaky clean now. Even better that you enjoyed it. I do give Gibbs a bath in between going to the groomer but probably not as often as I should. He doesn't mind it too much and goes crazy pants after he's done. He'll run around and rub on everything and roll around on the floor.

That was nice of you to stand still for your bath, Beau. We're not to crazy for those things and do our best to avoid them.
You did a great job, Beau. Our Angel Little Bit went to the groomer, but if she got into a mess she would stand ever so nicely as dad gave her a bath. On hot days dad would cool the water off in the hose and give her a good wet down. She loved that.

I get my paws washed all the time but only rarely do I get a full bath. I like the rubbing and hugging bit afterwards.

And speaking of fingers! That 4th photo, your 'hand' looks like you're wearing a formal lady's glove.
Oh, Beau, you've hit me where it hurts. I must do something about my furry dog, Samson. He's getting old, he has too much fur, it's hot at the groomers, it may take up to three hours to get him done. I don't know if this will be too much for him or not. So I decided to take him to the vet and get an opinion.
About your bath, I think you handled yourself with so much dignity, your mama can be proud of you.
My Faith, who is part Labrador retriever hates water. She even has webbed feet, like a duck, but does not like to get wet. Go figure!
Beau, we bet that bath and the after rubbing felt so good. We go to a groomer and we are bathed and get our coat blown out. But we only do that at most 4 times a year. Mom would do it, but it is important to have our double coat thoroughly dry or a fungus can set in. So hosing us off would never work:)

What a great boy you are! Soap, water, towel (They feel like a giant tongue) and you finished off with your tongue!
Cinnamon loves swimming in the rive and the lake, but she hates hoses and baths! She cries like she is being beaten in the bath tub! However she LOVES being towelled!

I get a bath every week and my beard washed in between. Mommy picks me up and sticks me in the grooming sink. I do not like it but I've learned that resistance is futile. (We just finished the last season of Deep Space Nine.) XOX Xena
