If you know me at all, you know Orange Thang and my love of it has caused The Pawrentz to give me the nickname Ball Brain!
You might remember I have Three Of these Chuckit balls.
And have jealously guarded them since day one.
Here is what happed this week.
Saturday morning, Daddy flung the ball hard, with the flinger thing and it hit the tree,
ricocheted off the tree
hit the edge of the roof,
ricocheted to the peek of the roof
and the last ricochet OVER the fence into the neighbors yard.
I ran back and forth saying where da ball,
daddy climbed on a chair,
Yep! it's in the other yard.
Our yard is 100 feet wide fence to fence
, so this was some ricochet.
After they stopped laughing, Mama said Forget about it, that was the one that sunk in the pool.
She got a new one out of a package and we finished the game.
Now Mama and Daddy have more to laugh at.
I still have three balls, but the NEW one is my favorite.
I only chase the new one,
I only chew the new one.
Butt if they try to pick up the old ones, I grab them and put them with the new one.
I heard mama say, we are back to Ball Guarding by Beau.
I had stopped putting the ball in my food bowl while eating
butt NOW I will not eat unless the NEW Ball is in the bowl.
Later in the day, Mama was exercising in the pool and she heard the 4 year old in the yard where I can't see him...
LOOK MOM, what I FOUND!
HE HAS IT! but I don't care, I still have THREE Balls
UPDATE BY MAMA Monday 6 AM.. Suddenly Beau got off the loveseat and stared in my face, then he stood with both feet on my sofa and STARED in my FACE
I said you want to go outside? He raced to the door, I opened it and he raced to the raccoon hole, and then raced to the ferns beside the house and dove in the ferns, they are 4 feet tall,
And Came OUT with the Ricochet Ball in his mouth.
We have no idea how it got there or how he knew it was there butt he is
ESTATIC to now have FOUR balls. The new one is the FAV butt don't move the others.

Oh my goodness, Beau is Physic!! What an amazing story! I have also really enjoyed enlarging and looking at the back of your house and yard, and the adorable drawing of Daddy throwing the ball and it's direction. Love your flashy arrow!!
how good that you found that orange precious! we had the same adventure with our dad, he threw it like aroldis chapman and it landed in dramaculas garden and none of the staff was brave enough to enter her haunted castle to get it back... it sadly was no ball but a trainings pigeon ;O)))

That sure was quite a ricochet your dad got out of that ball. We're glad to hear you got it back. You are so funny with your possessiveness over those balls.
Okay, I just got goosebumps! HOW on earth? I wonder if the 4 year-old's mother made him throw it back over the fence and Beau heard? I love how he loves those orange thangs.
Beau is smart and now he has all of his balls back. I love it that his new ball needs to be in his food dish or he won't eat. That's most adorable.

Divine intervention - someone planted an idea in that little four year old's head that the ball needed to go home to Beau!!!
We just love how you put your ball in your food bowl. Misty likes to dunk the remnants of a destuffed piggy in her WATER bowl, then grab it and get water everywhere!!!

What a ball story! We're suprised about the force with which ball #1 ricocheted, and amazed at how Beau knew it was back, and where it was! Now THAT'S TALENT!
He is so amazing and so funny about the balls. I guess they put it over the fence but how did he know??? Love that he put the new one in his dish. He's so cute.
