FFF Friday and Thankful Thursday on Friday

The house that burned is rebuilt. Two Chiweenies live there.

Mama had to walk me because daddy needs new knees, because he was not with us, I got to walk past the burned house. Daddy can't walk that far, so when we go alone, we take different routes.

There we was just a-walkin' down the street, singin'
'Do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do'
Snappin' our fingers and shufflin' our feet, singin'
'Do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do'
We looked good (Looked good)
We looked fine (Looked fine)
She looked good, Beau looked fine
And I nearly lost my mind
Because...

I walk Mamas Pace, she walks fast, I walk Fast, she slows, I slow
I felt her slowing down and said Mama, what you doin? Daddy's is not with us, we can go fast.

Then I saw a girl, standing in the yard of the burned house.

the girl had 2 Chiweenies, out doing 'budiness' in the grass.

We walked slowly forward, hugging our side of the street because they were
BARKING like idiots,  at ME!

I was Good, I am always good.
I heard mama take a deep breath because
Before we knew it there was a Chiweenie he was walkin' towards me, Growling and MINUS his leash.

He came closer and closer and out in the street, the girl was screaming DAD DAD
the growling little dog has his hair up.
Mama stayed calm, I stayed calm. She backed me up a driveway, backing slowl away from the
vicious little animal growling 15 pound dog, why my head is bigger than him.

The DAD came slowing sneaking across the street, the Chi could not see him,

Dad said to Mama, he is terrified of other dogs, we got him at the shelter, he is in shock.
Mama talked baby talk to the CHI, I made whimper sounds which means I want to play.
The Dad Swooped up the Chi and said Sorry.
Mama Did not say, Why does she have the dog on this busy street without a leash?

She did not get excited or upset and I did not either.
Later she said to MY dad, I was not worried, he was small enough I could kick him in the teeth.
That mad dad laugh because when Mama says she is scared of the coyotes, he says he will kick him in the teeth.
IF did that, he would fall down and put his throat closer to the coyote.

 Would Mama kick a dog?
Maybe if he tried to bite me.

COULD Mama kick a dog, I mean without falling OVER? 😁

We are thankful the Chi did not get run over, thankful We did not get run over,
thankful The dad caught the dog before mama kicked him in the teeth.
The dog, not the dad.
Thankful Mama did not lose her temper, Thankful I was the best boy ever in the face of attack by Chiweenie Terrorist!

THE END

PS, before you say it, we could not turn around and go back because he would chase us and get further away from home and there was TRAFFIC.
The REAL End.

NOTE: The photo of us, was snipped from the ONE video daddy TRIED to take of us walking. it was really bad so she lunapiced it.
And now mama has realized there are NO PHOTOS of her walking me.

The photo of the burned house it the rebuilt house, the dogs were snitched from the web,

Beau's first time joining Final Friday Fiction with YAMAUNTY.

My first question was going to be, how on earth did you get this picture of you & Beau walking. You must have known that. Chiweenie, HAH! Beau, I think that Mama WOULD have kicked him if he tried to attack you, it is a Mom's instinct. But she wouldn't have wanted to. Is there a leash law there? If so, she would not have got into trouble for it, because they broke the law. I read a question the other day, asking what is the most vicious dog. The answer was a chiwiwha (I simply CANNOT spell it). Anyway, this is true that they are the most vicious, but of course not the most dangerous. They are so NERVOUS and HIGh STRUNG.

so glad it went well..... we had our waterloo yesterday... a woman came with two dogs? on her leash... but the dogs were goats... nuclear meltdown, because none of us ever saw such a thing...it's really time to go back to normal, the ideas of people to be allowed outside are weird and weirder now...

Beau, we know your Mama would protect you from any dog, whatever the size.

A suspense filled story. So glad that you kept a cool head and everything turned out well. Your mom did good at staying calm too. That other dog should have been on a leash.

Hello Beau,

You are a brave dog, I am scared of the little dogs. They have a mean bite around the ankles.
You protect your Mama and your Mama will watch over you, I am glad no one was hurt. Stay safe! HUGS, have a great day!

Whew, that was even scary to read. I'm glad you and mama didn't panic and glad everything turned out ok in the end. Why don't people keep their dogs on leashes?! You are always such a good boy Beau. I love the edited pic, it looks like a drawing.

I agree with Martha ... LOVE the edited pix of you and mommy walking!
That situation could have gone wrong so quickly. I don't know what it is with little dogs' ... even looking out the front window, little Grace will bark and snarl like crazy. Poor Macie looks at her like, 'What an idiot you are.'
You are the perfect gentle giant, Beau. I think that calls for an extra treat.

Momma says LOTS of HBO words about unleashed dogs. Especially the people who insist their dog doesn't need a leash because it's so well trained, who then futilely shout at their dog to GET OVER HERE when it comes running over to us. :P Momma says she hasn't kicked another dog, but she'll raise a knee real sharply to scare it back. It usually works enough for her to back us away. She hasn't had to use that while walking me, but she said she did when my great-brother Casey got surrounded by THREE unleashed dogs.

Can you say leash? That's what that dog needed. Always on a leash. Safety first.

I will say your mom made me laugh out loud and more than once. Thank you for that.

Have a woof woof day and weekend, Beau. My best to your mom. ♥

That was quite a tale of your near attack on your walk. We're glad to hear it all turned out okay and everyone is well.

I'm glad they were able to get the dog before it got hurt or came closer to you. A leash is so important. Sorry about Dad's knees.

We used to walk Cinnamon (and the before dogs) here in our village without a leash. But too many people have moved here (from the city) that have dogs that are not trained. They bark, they get angry when they see other dogs and there have been some "incidents". Since Mom moved back she does NOT walk Cinnamon without a leash. We wonder why people get a dog if all they do is let them out in the yard, and all the poor dog has to do is bark. They don't play with their dogs or train their dogs to be happy canine citizens. It's not hard. One of our neighbors comes out and yells at people who walk dogs past their house because it makes Reggie (their dog) bark! Sorry for the rant. I have been gardening and listening to the cacophony up the street.
