Daddy Knees and ME

ME comforting DADDY and I MAY have been asking for Dinner since it was NOON when they got back from leaving me home alone for 90 minutes.

Daddy's visit went well, except for WAITING, which he doesn't do as well as I DO!

He is not patient like ME. See the LOOK he gives the camera person?

Doctor said, due to Arthritis, and age of 84, his knees have no cushion, and are bone one bone when he walks. Daddy is only in pain when walking. Which is good because I LOVE HIS LAP

I think Daddy is about my age of 7, so why the big deal? I have cushions, I think.

He had the option of new knees or a shot of steroids in each knee,
He took the shots.

What is the Deal? I don't mind my shots at all...

He told my parents to expect to be ill for about 3 days after the Covid Vaccine 2nd Shot!

the doc had the Moderna, which is what Daddy had, and he said he had chills and fevers for 3 days and to expect it for us to only on the 2nd and that it is normal.

This message is for Ella answering your question yesterday.

I have a friend with type 1 diabetes, she had her 2nd vaccine last week, and was sick for 4 days, her sugar was really high for 3 of those days.
She was miserable for 3 days and better on the 4th and is ok now.
Hope this answers your question .

Now if we can get Daddy back to walking our mile.. Like this, which was my first time ever walking with Daddy on Oct 14th and we walked a long way. Now Mama has to walk me.
Butt! I do  love walking with Mama, butt I want Daddy to go toooooooooo

Read this after you have read my comment on your other blog. I want to add that the shots may work real well for Bob, and he should try them first. The reason they have been giving me the ablation is that the shots had stopped working, and I was high risk for surgery. So insurance will pay for this. Shots will work for years, then stop. Plus you can only get them two or three times a year.

I also get the chills and fever with the flu shot! I think that's normal! I will remember the name of the vaccine! Thank you very much for the information! So, it is true that the sugar will be high after the shot... Let's hope everything turns out okay, right ?!
I hope everything turns out okay with your daddy's knees!
Thank you Beau, you are a true friend of mine! Hugs! 🧡

I would have chose the shots over surgery to start with too. Why put yourself through surgery if a shot will help.

Hello, Beau

I am glad the doctor gave a shot for your Daddy's knees, it will help him to feel better. It is nice when he can take you for walks. But being a lap dog is a good thing too. HUGS, have a happy day!

Maybe your daddy will be able to walk with you once the shots make his knees feel better.

Like the others, hope the shots will work well for a long long time (we've heard they do), but knee replacement can be amazing at any age, tho long/hard recovery!
Covid #2 -- different from the 1st go round and harder to take, more reactions for many.
Be well all ...

Beau, it is brilliant that your daddy took the shots and I add my POTP that they kick in real well and you both can walk for miles and miles and - well at least four corners! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

Beau looks like things are slowly on their way to some type of normalcy.
My 2nd vaccine made my arm really sore and I was fatigued but that was it.
Stay hydrated and rest after each vaccine.
Hugs Cecilia
PS so glad Dad might be walking again

I don't know why, but momma's title made me think of the old expression, "The bee's knees!" (Sweet and good. Has your daddy heard that before?)

Scary-sound after effects from the shot, but I'm glad the doctor was so forthcoming about his experience. I'm gathering it all, so when the time comes I don't freak.

I hope your daddy will feel better soon and I hope everyone will take this vaccine and that the pandemic will be OVER.

Hubby has the same issues with his knees. He was a runner for years. Loved to run and ran so much he destroyed his knees. Getting old isn't for the faint of heart.

Have a woof woof day and weekend, Beau. My best to your peeps. ♥

I have trouble with my knees too so I guess the writing is on the wall. Glad to hear Daddy’s knees are feeling better. You are a great support to Mommy and Daddy and please tell them to take good care of themselves and to give you a scratch on the ears from me :)

Our Dad had the Steroid shots, they worked really well. Mom had a Dr Appointment this morning (it was on the phone) She needed her prescriptions refilled and her Doctor told her she could expect to get her shot by the end of April. Mom was happy as she was originally told it would be August! We are glad you are a patient dog. Maybe you are part cat? Have a marvellously Happy Day!

Hi friend, Ojo here! We hope your Daddy feels better in his knees! Also we hope your persons' shots go well. My people are still many, many months away from getting theirs. We are glad your people are getting them, even if they might be sick for a few days, because then they won't get the Big Sick!

We hope those shots help your Dad's knees so he can get back to walking. Mom and Dad both had mild headaches and sore arms for a day after their first shot, but they hear the second one can be more severe. They got Pfizer. We hope they (and you) won't be sick.
