Three Seniors

Dog paw print remover, a towel with feet. No Problem

Daddy is a Senior Daddy.
Mama is a Senior Mama
I am a Senior Canine
I am BIGGER than Big and
I drool and I slobber
The bigger the mouth the more the slobber.
Every where I sit, Every where I lay, I drool
this causes drool pools, or should I say pools of drools.
Bad for carpet, or so they say
We all go barefoot, when THEY step in a pool they say UCK!
I don't even notice when I step in one, but they do, because my
feet make Paw Prints on carpet and floor.

In case you are wondering about the photo at the top, here is the answer.
After my ball game, I drink lots of water, half of which drips from my large mouth onto
the kitchen Floor.
I am Big, my Mouth is Big, I slobber. a LOT
I track in rainy slimy mud
Senior Humans Fall Down Easily.
Water on ceramic tile is SLICK
This is how mama handles the problem. She keeps a slobber rag  towel by the back door and uses her foot to mop up the slick floor, she says she is not so worried over dirty paw prints, but the danger to the seniors who live here.
The point is, I need these two seniors, who would feed me, walk me, hug me, and follow my commands?
Who would clean up the paw prints that mark the spot on the kitchen floor?

This is what I would do, too! YES, the danger of slipping is real and scary!!

we hear ya.. loud and clear... to go with nekked feet is the only way to survive... michael jackson once complained once about blood on the dance floor... he ever had to stand dog spit, that's the real challenge...

Gail and I think you three seniors and doing great, figuring out how to live well together. And Beau, we think the other two need you too.

Smart idea with the towel. I hate to say this but if I stepped in a drool pool I would say UCK too :)

I second Bertie's comment - you are all doing really well... and you definitely all need each other in different ways for different things! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

The towel power! The danger of slipping is excluded!
Hugs for a smart girl!

I do that with towel and feet if Roger or I spill something...

Great idea, momma! Our girls' mouths may be small, but their manners not so much. Not sure which is the guilty party, but there's always a trail of water coming from their water dish. I don't even want to think how falling on the hard tile would feel.

That looks like a darn good way to clean up the paw prints, foot power works!!!

Yep, towel and feet are a typical senior clean up style :)

Since we live in a colder climate our dad just takes his socked foot out of his slipper and mops up our drool (usually in the kitchen). BOL! We probably don't drool as much as you though since we're a bit smaller.

I would! And I have cleaned up a lot of things with my feet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's how I clean up messes too. It's far easier for sure. It's okay that you drool, Beau. Mom and dad are alright with it. They love you and that's what counts.

Have a woof woof day, Beau. My best to your peeps. ♥

At least one of us has been coming inside with muddy paws lately. Mom does something similar with a towel, and then she wipes each paw with a wet towel. If we are really muddy, she has one of those cans that you fill with water and dunk the paw - brushes inside help get some of the mud off. We must admit we are not always very cooperative with that gizmo.

Hee! Hee! Even though Cinnamon is not as big as you Beau, she slobbers and there is ALWAYS water on the floor around her dish! We too have a slobber towel to mop up the floor and Mom uses her feets! The water slobber is great for wiping up muddy kitty prints! Love the poem! Barb
