KONG 2

all I want to do,

is chew chew chew

on my Orange Thang.

she tried a bone,

did not last long,

she tried a rope,

I said no, no Nope.

all I want to do is chew on my orange thang.

Now the Kong is under the tree,
She will not give it back to me.
No whip cream, or Peanut Butter
inside the Kong, I heard her mutter
Because in the south
I would get ANTS in my mouth.
I said Maybe Santa can use it as an igloo
let this part be a secret between me and you..

PS from Mama... we are in ant season and battling sugar ants, they march around and a tiny crumb will be covered in an instant.. they swarm the dog bowl after he eats dry dog food... no way we can put food in this thing..

I love the poem! We get those real tiny ants. How big are yours? And how long does their season last. Ants are actually very clean, and they will clean up all your crumbs so you don't have to. They would make a good post, we can all relate. I have pics of ours for a future post, tiny though they are.

Oh my, that would not be fun having to deal with the ants. I get them in the spring and they drive me crazy. I don't really know what kind the ones I get are but I don't like them.

...no longer a Floridian but sure do remember the antsy issues ...

Is Beau evereverever without his orange thing? Have you purchased stock in the company
that makes orange things?

That is too bad, Beau doe snot like playing with the Kong.
I understand about the ants, we have had a problem and had to put ant baits all around the house. HUGS, have a happy day!

Those little ants drive me crazy, it's the same here. If I forget to pick up Beefy's bowl hundreds of them come out of nowhere within five minutes!

I sure wish he would find joy in the Kong. That is a great poem. The Tero ant bait is supposed to work but you probably dont want to use it with Beau.

When I was a kid and we got them, we put out sliced cucumber...but that was homegrown and not something genetically designed to shop and store well. I think I tried it here withbstire bought cucumber and did not slow them down. But the time I remember at home. It just worked completely and we were having a horrible time with them.

Your Mom needs to stock up on Orange Things Beau! We have ants here too so we put the food bowl down in a shallow water bowl, a moat sort of, because ants can't swim, they'll drown.

We had that issue in Arizona, too. Until Tom's sis told me about Terro drops.
The igloo is sure cute! Waste not, want not.

I'm sure you would not want to get ants in you Kong. You know what though? I bet your mama has some really nice surprises for you come Christmas Day. And then you have to let us all know what happened.

We love your poem about the ball and Kong. It's too bad about the ants. We love having our stuffed Kongs. In the summer sometimes our pawrents fill it up with some softened kibble and peanut butter and freeze them. We take them outside to chew on and it lasts a long time.

We get it, we used to have a sugar ant issue when we lived in Texas!

Love your Christmas header. Beautiful.

Yikes on the ants. We hate it when ants get into our home.

Have a woof woof day and weekend, Beau. My best to your peeps. ♥

Hi friend! Ojo here! Another great song! Also I LOVE Kongs! It is too bad the ants won't let you have food in yours, that's what makes them good!

Good thing Beau is content (more than content) with his orange balls. We used to swear out last house was built on a giant sweet ant hill. Nothing ever stopped them. Of course, I can think of many less desirable critters roaming my house - like the huge black carpenter ants we had last spring. Even Xena didn't want to fool with them.
