None of you will recognize these pups, they are not a part of blogland, but they were and are a part of my life. These two dogs became members of the family at the same time, 10 years ago, they have no memory of life without the others. Siblings from tiny babies.
Back in Oct, I asked for POTP (power of the paws) for Rascal, 3 days after our Big Boy went over the rainbow bridge, Rascal got really sick. He had tumors all over and was swollen so bad he could not breathe. Last week on Nov 18, Rascal went over the rain bow bridge, leaving my friend Jackie and her family and her sister Melodee, to grieve.

Melodee quit eating, and a few days ago, they took her to the vet, she had a few tumors and the vet said it might be lymphoma. She was given meds and Thanksgiving eve, Nov 25
Sweet Melodee, their German Shepherd went over the rainbow bridge yesterday.
It was like she gave up when her brother Rascal left her behind.
She went into a spiral, refused to eat, could not get up, and 7 days from the day Rascal left her, she went over the rainbow bridge.
Jackie and her family are dear friends and so were these two dogs.
Jackie needs our prayers as she battles cancer and chemo and on Dec 9th, surgery.

How awful to lose your best friends when you are struggling with cancer!! You have made a wonderful tribute to them.
we are so sorry... and our tears are running... it happened to us too as we lost our two huskies within one month... sometimes we think it can not come much more worse, but we learn that we were wrong... hugs to you and a big kiss to heaven for your friends...

Oh, I don't know what to say...other than prayers for them all.
This is so very sad. Will definitely send prayers for this lady. Too much sadness there.

Thank you for all your kindness and support. It's been hard on the family during this holiday season, but this was a lovely tribute in honor of our wonderful family.

Purrs and prayers to Jackie from all of us. We used to have two dogs here, sisters, one passed and the other wasn't too far behind, she was just too sad without her sis.

That is so sad for your friends to loose their two pups so close together. We have our paws crossed for them and especially for Jackie as she battles the evil C.

What a sad shock! I totally believe that animals pass from broken hearts. I want to believe Melodee and Rascal are head-over-heels, enjoying one another's company again. But how awful for Jackie. Indeed, I'll hold her in my prayers - particularly on December 9. Please let us know how that goes!
