YES! I do have a dog bed! In fact I have one in both bedrooms, and TWO in the living room with the two sofas PLUS I have an easy chair right by the bed the humans sleep in..
Yes! dogs do need their own bed even if they take over sleep on sofas and chairs.
Mama had an extra bed in the crate I have NEVER slept in, she moved it to a secure spot for thunder storms and now I sleep there while the peeps watch TV at night...

We made sure that our Little Bit had a bed in each room. She used them all too. When she was young she hogged our bed. She would stretch out and take most of the bed. We let her.

Your many sleeping arrangements sound just perfect. My Samson sleeps on the slate tile because he's always warm. Hot in the summer. He sleeps like a frog with his back legs straight out. Faith doesn't have her own bed. I know she's supposed to have one, but she likes to sleep on the tile when it's hot, on the rug when it's not. And at night she sleeps in my bed. I have thought to buy her her own bed many times, but I have a feeling she wouldn't know what to do with it.
Do you think I should buy her one? I'm actually buying her a new collar soon, maybe when winter comes I will buy her her own bed.
I have three doggie beds and a love seat and a recliner chair ~ never can have too many sleep spots! When one gets hot, you move to the next one! BOL!
Butts, I don't have pawsome pillows like yours! sigh.

We get what you're woofing, Big Boy. We have our beds in the office and on the patio, but we just use the other furniture in the living room and library. We're comfy there and I (Xena) build my fortress with the couch throw pillows to sleep at night.
