The SUN was HOT even at 9:15 am, Mommy tested with her hand to make sure the blacktop would not burn my paws. As the 3 of us walked, Mommy whined about the heat and humidty, Daddy agreed. I agreed. SHE says to tell you we were at 92 last night at 8 PM.
On the way home, only half block from our house, I spied tall green grass under a big shade tree, I nearly dragged daddy down, diving for the grass, first I put my face in it and rubbed it, then I collapsed on my side and ROLLED UPSIDE DOWN like this...only in grass.. only five houses from home.Use that Imagination NOW... this is my I AM HOT cool down mode and I use it outside/inside, sofa/chair/floor.
I REFUSED to get up when Daddy tugged on the leash.
I wanted to roll in the cool grass. Then SHE pulls out the treats and waves them under my nose and UP I scrambled and SHE gave me ONE and lured me into a fast walk HOME... Daddy said we will have to walk earlier, we are ALL
tooooo Old and to HOT to trot in this humid heat...

I'm chuckling, imagining Big rolling around in that cool grass. This heat is scary, for sure.

Oh my! And how much earlier can you walk until it is not morning, but still night. How miserable. It has been in the 90's here.
Oh BB...yes indeed too hot to do anything. I'm glad you 3 can get your walk in early. Hot today, hotter tomorrow, even hotter Tues and Wed. they are predicting 100 real temp here. I'm expecting to just hibernate most of the week

Humidity. We don't do humidity. 3°C this morning....okay 37°F, but that's cold for us. We're home in front of the little electric heater this morning, after our 5 a.m. walk. Love the canine 'ice-pack' reference. BOL!

Oh my, that would be a problem with that happening 5 houses away from home. Maybe you should take a wagon on your walks so that if you get too tired or hot then you can get in the wagon and they can pull you back home :)

OH MY! I heard on the teevees that it was scary hot and humid over theres! That is why Ma did NOT complain when it was chilly and rainy this last week. everyone was complaining abouts when is spring/summer gonna get here, and Ma was all....be quiet!!!! Have you heard abouts the terrible heatwave they're havin' on the east coast??! enjoy! butts apparently they didn't wants to hear that. sigh. I so agree with your coolin' off position BB ~ cool grass is pawsome! Maybe you and your peeps need to start at 3am.....☺
