top row, The Stash that lived in a bucket.... Bottom Row, the Evidence that squirrels were removing the pine cones and chewing them to smithereens....
The GUILTY party..... Not a squirrel as you can see.... why would a dog that never touched a pine cone in 8 years now be chewing them all to pieces.....I actually watched as he walked to the bucket and removed it, came to this spot, chewed the top off and went back for another.....OUCH is what I was thinking.
No photos of the bucket caper....the thing is when I pick them up, I have to be careful, they prick my fingers. don’t know how he chews them or carries them. we were sitting in the swing and I had no camera, when he waltzed over to the bucket and got one out. I had been blaming the squirrels

Ouch is right! We once had Golden Retrievers living next to us and they loved to chew on pine cones!
He must have wanted something crunchy to snack on!
the things they find to chew on...
Thank you so much for the encouraging words, that is the miracle we are praying for :)
And you were blaming the squirrels! LOL! Jake was setting them up! It does seem like it would hurt his mouth.
Ouch is the first thing that popped into my mind. Jake has some tough lips and tongue.
