No, Egrets are not this color, they are bright white, it is the morning sun coming up and shining on them like a spotlight. Check out the cute litle yellow feet
You got him waving at us!! These are superb shots!!! This is really something you excel at and have so much talent. These shots could be in National Geographic easily. I think you now need to concentrate all your time on birds, even though it would probably drive you nuts!!! Remamber the lady who lived in Pa. and had that bird blog, but had to quit due to that unfortunate circumstance? You are reminding me of her. Your calling is for the birds. BWAK!
What a trick! Can you imagine standing on a branch on one leg and scratching your eye with the other? These are a splendid catch Sandra and wonderfully photographed. Thank you for sharing them! ;-)WBW

I follow you!
Impressed. A very beautiful set of pictures. Well captured!
Superb images. Well done Sandra.
Thumbs up to Theresa for prompting you to join WBW. Enjoyed looking through your previous bird post as well. Cheers FAB.
Great photos of the Egrets and interesting to see what morning light does to the color.
Nice pictures of a funny but beautyful bird! :)

Excellent captures!
Fantastic images. A great bird to see.
Awesome photos of the Egrets with the morning light!
Amazing photos of this beautiful bird! It's very difficult to shoot a white bird in the sun and maintain the details in the features. Well done!
Beautiful pictures of the egrets. We don't see many of them here, but sure enjoy them when we do.
I love that he is scratching his head with his foot; maybe he learned that trick from a dog! Very nicely captured. I love the morning light on him.
WOW--thats some sun reflection on those feathers...magnificent photos!
