Lest you think I have gone mad and posted one photo 4 times, these are examples of new features in PicMonkey, the Beta program I am trying to learn. PHUN for me because I love it.
I used Big as a practice session because I have a thousand pics of him to play with.
Above is normal, photos popped in, below is photos beveled. Subtle differences, the bevel makes the photo stand out.

Above each photo is darkened and below is hard light. These may not look like much but it is a real plus to be able to do this.

The hard light one looks like a hard sun is really beating down on him. In the others, there is a small difference in them, but I cannot tell what!

The beveled version gives each picture a bit of a shadow. I like it. The third one down makes the pictures look like the edges are fading off into the background. That's a really cool effect

The hard light ones are cool! Unfortunately on this small screen I can't discern the other's differences.
You know I am a bevel girl, but they all look great!
Big Boy is the perfect model for your photo edit fun. I like the beige fur surrounding the mosaics too. I don't use PicMonkey, but another editing programme that does the same job if I need to highlight photos.
Hey BB, it's always good when you get the peeps on those editing sites....they take a break from constantly following you around with a camera! WIN!
And BB looks good not matter what you do with him....
