Above is what Bob calls Jake's Pickers Paradise.... this spot is right outside the back door, in order for me to step on the sticks and go OW! OW! Each day we watch Jake pile new sticks in his Paradise and I have never had the camera ready
Today I saw him hunting for the green sticks that fall of the Schefflera tree.
He hunts for just the right stick and it can't be Brown, must be Green, then he carries it half way accross the yard to his Pickers Paradise, where he chews it into small hurtful to bare feet pieces.
As you can see in below photo, he knows how to say MINE I have no idea why he will not bring the brown ones, since by the next day all the pieces are brown.

Maybe the green ones taste better? Or maybe Jake likes green. It is cute how he like to bring them to one area.
he is a collector with a taste for green. funny behaviour for a dog.
I love that you captured him bringing in the green twig. Maybe the green ones are "chewier!!!"
It's so terrific to see Jake! I've missed him, even though I see him on my refrigerator every day. :) the second pic is my favorite! He reminds me of my Rocket...I see what you mean.
lol It's funny how he has a little routine like that and a strange routine at that! I've never noticed my dogs do anything like that. They don't even chew on any sticks at all.
Maybe he's Irish?! Anyway, I think it is so sweet of you to let him keep his Paradise going. It is a bit unusual for a dog, a male dog at that, to collect stuff in such a particular fashion.
LOL Pickers paradise, that's funny. Well except for when you step on it
Maybe they are easier to chew to pieces when green....
just trying to get his greens I guess...love it...
Green must be tastier ;)
Jake you are most handsome. Interesting that you only like the green. Hugs and nose kisses
