WOW! news for you

I heard Mama say  "Big can hear the cracker jar lid from 87 miles away"

Daddy said  "He even knows the word! and they started to laugh.

Mama Said  "He can even hear when I BITE the cracker"

the rest went something like this. He knows the sound of the fridge opening, the treat jar, the freezer door, the cabinet door. in fact all things IN the kitchen. The sounds of pots frammingm all of the above sends me to the RED RUG. (more on the red rug later)

Just so you know, they are HUMAN crackers not canine.. I love them.  Great Value Saltines with unsalted tops. Mama loves them, she eats 2 with her first pill in the AM.. I get ONE only.

she also eats them with C.H.E.E.S.E and they spell that word too. OR with PBJ, I Know a lot of words but not that one. Butt I do know the sound of the lid when the peanut butter jar opens...

Sometimes they SPELL words. Like  C.R.A.C.K.E.R because I know that word, better not say it if you don't mean it. I have a mean sounding whine....

Just so you know, they can get me to do anything by offering one of these crackers or a tiny bit of cheese. Also I do stuff for Cheerio's NUMMM

Brian, do CATS know words???? We all want to Know....Dog owners, tell your story please. are others as SMART as me?

You speak both human and canine! I have always admired bi-lingual people. We think Simba knows words that are followed by what the word means, like treat, then giving him one. So we have to spell some of them, too. But not as many as YOU know.

Big Boy you are such a smart dog. I'm trying to think of what sounds or words Gibbs knows and my brain just can't work this morning.

BB, you are such a smart dog. Soon you will know how to spell.

Have a great day!

BB Angel Madi could smell a can of salmon nearly before it was opened.
She could be fast asleep up stairs in the front of the house and in a nano second of the can opener starting she was marching by my feet meowing.

I hope you get lots of crackers this week BB! Hey, we know lots of words, lots. Some of our favorites are brush, breakfast, dinner, treats, laptime and playtime. Lots of times we just ignore other words, but we do understand them.

What a smart fella you are, Big!
Some of Macie and Grace's triggers are "Greenie", "loose meat", "egg" and, of course, "cheese." They've sure trained us humans, and like you, now they've learned to spell. Hey, just because you don't speak 'human' doesn't mean you don't understand everything your momma and daddy say! (I believe that, anyway.)

Samson is a dog's dog, he doesn't care much for word or human activities other than going for a walk. I don't know how many words he knows or cares about.

Faith on the other hand has a remarkable, that means amazing, grasp of the English language. Once I tried to count how many words she knows but I had to give up. She also understands full sentences better than any dog I have ever lived with. I think this is because she's my constant companion and I speak to her in human words. You see, BB, I am not smart enough to speak in your dog language.

You are lucky to get one cracker, says my dogs, who seldom get people food.

I think all pups are smart but you have to work with them. Love them, not throw them in the backyard and forget about them. Our Little Bit could make herself known very well. We could understand her just fine.

Have a woof woof day, Big Boy. My best to your mom. ♥

You are one smart pup Big Boy! I don't have any dogs, but I know that cats understand the word 'treat' both spoken and spelled - MOL! BOL!

I know most of my toys by name! I even know the difference between Orange Ball and Yellow Ball. Sometimes Momma will suggest I go get a specific toy, and I'll run right to it. (Or run around looking distressed, if it's not visible.)

You're a smart boy, BB. We know all the kitchen sounds, too. And we know that after lunch and supper we are supposed to get a walk and remind our folks. And we know that when Mom puts on her shoes, she's probably going to take us for a walk.
Angel Lexi could spell lots of things, and had a huge vocabulary. We're still learning. XOX Xena and Lucy

Our last dog Shelby...you could not even soell the word walk. Seriously. My cat Cougar knew a lot of words and actually listened..I think these cats know more than they act like.

You're a smarty pants. Skye hear the jar, her drawer of goodies and of course the fridge. She also knows when the pizza is done when the buzzer on the oven goes off!
