Rescue Shelter Blog Hop with Dory

October is "Adopt a Shelter Pet" month!!
Joining Dory's Backyard  for her 2nd Annual Blog Hop/Fundraiser for their Rescue Shelter. Dory's mom will donate one dollar to the shelter for each blog that links to her blog hop. She has a list of what you can do for your local shelters.

We donate to  S.P.C.A. every time we order from Amazon. Did you know if you order from www.smile.amazon.com you can pick a charity to donate part of your order to your favorite charity.

Please don't give money to those ads that make you cry on TV, donate time, effort, money or food and other needs to your local shelters

Love this picture!

There is a great need for people to help. Most of my dogs are rescues. I have never picked a dog that could not be worked with. Every one should give your local shelter a look.

Oh do I agree about the ads on TV...we donate to the shelter basket every time mom buys my food at the Pet grocery store...or we send a check to the SPCA
Love your post and the art work

That's infuriating that they create those heart wrenching ads and the money doesn't even go where you think it's going

We joined Dory in her Rescue Shelter Hop also. You make a very good point. I am all four paws into doing the work from the bottom.

Thank you for making everyone aware of the deceit behind those ads, Sandra. I'd much rather donate to a small, grass-roots organization any day.
Love this 'fearsome' picture! :)

It's impawtent that we all do our part in helping needy animals! I don't think we've met. My name is Christmas (my friends call me Chris and C) and I'm a 2 year old miniature Dachshund! My mom is 13 years old and she shows me. Oh, and did I mention I'm running for mayor of Blogville? If you'd like to hop on over to my blog and check it out, here's the link: www.pawprovince.com Thank you!
