Time in the Shade

After a game of chase the tennis ball, Jake heads for the shade of the hibiscus and bird of paradise. It is hard to find him, since he blends in. Watch the expression as I snap.
Watch the expression change. I was saying all his trigger words to get him to look at me and put up his ears. He and Baby share the hate of my camera

We took Jake to the vet for his annual yesterday, he is fine except he has a torn ligament in his knee and is walking on 3 legs. 326.00 later with 97 of that  being for canine glucosmine and 14 days of pain/anti-inflammatory drugs and now we have to wait 2 or 3 months... OR get surgery. NOT

OH Well! I just gave up.....

Hope Jake can take it easy long enough to get that leg better. Duke gets moody when it comes to the camera. Sometimes he likes it and sometimes he doesn't. When he doesn't he won't look at me for anything

Keep the eyes closed so the camera can't see me.

Maybe the meds will help to heal Jake's leg so the sugery won't be necessary.

Poor pup! Poor pocket book! Well what can you do. When you love your four legged friends you just pay the bill right?

Hope Jake gets feeling better soon!

Poor Jake! What's so hard is that he is, by nature, such an active dog. Sandra, they have such BIG hearts that even when in pain, they have the desire!...:)JP

Very sorry for your dog. For me he looks philosophical. Hope early recovery and no pain.

Oh no..I feel bad but understand! My friend has a Terrior and when she put him on the glucosamine..he was a whole lot better!! He's about 12 yrs or so..it has that other stuff (chondroitin I think)?? It did the trick as he was restricted from much activity because of health. Anyway, hope Jake gets better..your right-very costly!! Yikes.
Our love bird's been getting these seizures at night..more so or picked up recently. I'd been giving him plain feed (w/out the sunflower seeds) but changed it again to a better quality. He gets greens and that sort of thing..but hey, he's already ten years old?
The photos are great as usual..looks like he just had a little run.
